Donkey Konga
2
The US version of Donkey Konga contains a cover of the song "Stupid Cupid" by Neil Sedaka - however, the reference to "loving lips of wine" is left uncensored.
Donkey Konga
2
In the US version of Donkey Konga, a cover of the song "Rock This Town" by Stray Cats is featured - however, a reference to "Whiskey on the rocks" remains uncensored.
Donkey Konga
4
The European version of Donkey Konga contains a cover of the song Tubthumping by Chumbawamba. The lyric "Pissing the night away" is censored as "Kissing the night away", but - despite the game's 3+ rating - "He drinks a Whiskey drink, he drinks a Vodka drink. He drinks a Lager drink, he drinks a Cider drink" remains uncensored.
Superfrog
1
Attachment Superfrog was originally going to gain powers from drinking Newcastle Brown Ale, but this was changed to Lucozade in the final release.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2
1
Attachment It has been implied that Garfield's neutral special in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 (where he transforms into the original, fatter 1970s version of the character) was originally going to feature him smoking a pipe, in reference to an internet meme based on a 1978 Garfield comic, where the last panel of a different Garfield comic is replaced with a panel of Garfield smoking a pipe with the same design. It is unknown if this was removed by the developers' choice, at the request of Nickelodeon, or at the request of the ratings board, but either way was likely to make the game more appropriate for its age demographic.
Pop'n Music: Usagi to Neko to Shounen no Yume
1
The Pop'n Music songs "Dance to Blue (Respect Style)" and "Mychronicle", along with the Sound Voltex song "GERBERA" were all initially credited to "BEMANI Sound Team" (Or "伊藤賢治 Remixed by BEMANI Sound Team" in the case of "Dance to Blue (Respect Style)").
These songs marked the first usages of such a moniker in BEMANI games.
It wouldn't be until December 2017 that these songs received the altered credits "伊藤賢治 Remixed by BEMANI Sound Team 'PON'", "BEMANI Sound Team 'positive MAD-crew'", and "BEMANI Sound Team 'TAG'" respectively.
Since then, all in-house BEMANI songs have been credited as BEMANI Sound Team "Artist Name".
Though no official breakdown for the BEMANI Sound Team moniker has been given, some theorize the change was either to distinguish in-house composers from commissioned artists (i.e. kors k and Ryu☆), or due to policies from a pachinko company merger with Konami, mandating reduced visibility of staff.

Kingdom Hearts III
1
Attachment Grand Chef, the Ratatouille keyblade in Kingdom Hearts III, has two bottles of champagne attached to its handles - the artwork on these bottles originates from a poster briefly seen in the movie, but is more commonly associated with a controversial cancelled Ratatouille-branded wine that was intended to be sold in Costco in 2007, but pulled before it could hit shelves due to concerns relating to underaged drinking. While the iteration in the movie shows red wine, the iteration on the wine bottle shows an olive tone of wine - the Grand Chef keyblade features both colors for the wine.

My Stop Smoking Coach with Allen Carr
1
Despite being themed around tobacco addiction, My Stop Smoking Coach with Allen Carr was rated E and regional equivalents. The back of the UK and Australia boxes specify that the game is not suitable for children despite its rating.

Crazy Frog Racer
1
Attachment Despite the Game Boy Advance version of Crazy Frog Racer being rated 3+, Rasta Dog's model has what appears to be a joint of marijuana resting in his mouth - this is just barely visible in-game due to sprite compression.

Sonic Superstars
1
Attachment In June 2023, the character models for the game received complaints on Twitter by fan artist Rafa Knight, who noted that they resembled her own models of the characters that had been used for merchandise, even having the same minor imperfections as the toys. She claimed she had not been credited for her work either, instead being ignored by Sega and other related figures. In response, Katie Chrzanowski, the social media manager for Sega of America, apologized for the misunderstanding and explained that the models were custom-made for Sonic Superstars, and promised to privately email Knight with more details later on. It's unknown if any more developments in this controversy happened since.

Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party!!!!
1
In the song "Brain Power", during the lyric "Call me a leader, cocaine", the word "cocaine" is replaced with a censor bleep.

It's likely this change was made to meet ESRB stanards, as "drug-related content" would've increased this game's age rating from Everyone to Teen.
Despicable Me: The Game
1
Despite being based on a children's movie and not being any more violent than its source material, Despicable Me: The Game recieved a 12 rating from PEGI in the UK for "violence".
This could be because Gru's adopted daughters don't appear in the game, therefore he stays a villain for the entirety of the game and the violence could be seen as more questionable than if the game directly followed the film's plot.

Big Boy Boxing
1
In the first demo for Big Boy Boxing, the tutorial opponent was called "The Hobo Dude". In a later trailer, his name was changed to "A Wild Dude", likely to avoid classist implications.

McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure
1
Attachment In prototype versions of McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure, the shops were McDonald's restaurants, and all the meters and power-ups in the game were McDonald's products. McDonald's burgers as health items in a game could be seen as endorsing them as a healthy food, so it was likely changed for the final game to avoid this perception, and while at the time Ronald McDonald was still seen holding or eating McDonald's in advertising, in later years he would be mandated against doing either.

Pooplers
1
Upon its initial release, Pooplers was, despite its young target audience, given an M rating by the ESRB for "blood", likely because one of the selectable poop colors in the game is red. Despite this M rating being featured in the game's trailer, the game would eventually be re-evaluated to an E10+ rating for merely "mild blood".

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
1
Attachment The House of the Dead series, despite being featured quite prominently, has rarely been namedropped in SEGA crossover games.

In Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Zobio and Zobiko's character bio shortens their debut as "HOTD EX" (despite games with longer titles such as Billy Hatcher & the Giant Egg and Alex Kidd in Miracle World not being shortened).

In Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Sega Superstars Tennis, and Sega Superstars, all instances where a House of the Dead logo would be placed are instead swapped for a logo reading Curien Mansion in the same style as the series' logo.

Sega Heroes would be the game to finally break the trend, referring to the games by their title and with their original logo.

This may be due to the series being banned in Germany.
