Fate/Grand Order
1
In Episode 45 of "More Learning With Manga! Fate/Grand Order", Gudao (The Male Master) contemplates whether he should use a Holy Grail to increase Astolfo's Level Cap, or save it for when he gets a Limited 5-Star Version, presumably as a Saber Class. The Fifth Christmas Event "Nightingale's Christmas Carol" would introduce exactly that: a new, Limited 5-Star Saber version of Astolfo.

Star Wars: Monopoly
1
Attachment Star Wars: Monopoly contains a set of two unused lyric music videos, which are both in-jokes welcoming new employees to Artech Studios.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2
1
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, like the first game, contains unused calls from the announcer. Interestingly, a good chunk of these voice calls are for characters who could be clones or otherwise have a similar body shape to playable fighters, such as DoodleBob, Dark Danny Phantom, Nermal, Abrasive SpongeBob, Squilliam Fancyson, and La Tigresa. Perhaps most interestingly, Lucy Loud's ghost ancestor, Lucille Loud, is the only The Loud House character with an unused announcer line, despite the show's protagonist Lincoln having been cut from the first NASB and the show being based on a large ensemble cast of sisters. Michelangelo and Leonardo are the only cut veterans from the first game with unused announcer voice clips. None of them are from new shows, with a technical exception in the form of the name "Tak", which most likely refers to the Invader Zim character, as she would fit a clone role being an Irken invader like Zim, but could also potentially be for the titular character from the Tak series, though this is unlikely given that the game series had effectively been abandoned by Nickelodeon following the cancellation of its animated series in 2009.

Strangely, before the unused voice lines were dumped and publically uploaded to the internet, an almost entirely accurate list circulated online with Goku from Dragon Ball listed as an announcer call, likely a meme-based in-joke regardless of if it is real or fake, a name which was not included when the voice calls got datamined proper.

Mario Lemieux Hockey
subdirectory_arrow_right Atari Lynx (Platform), Atari Corporation (Company)
1
Atari Corporation wanted to license out the likeness of hockey player Mario Lemieux for a Lynx game that would've been titled "Super Mario Hockey" as a jab at Nintendo and their Super Mario franchise disguised as a reference to Lemieux's nickname. The game was never made, but eventually Lemieux's likeness would be licensed out to Sega for a 1991 hockey game.

Attachment On March 17, 2019, in response to a post on the Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account celebrating St. Patrick's Day, YouTuber Jacksepticeye jokingly asked if he could voice "Irish the Hedgehog", to which the Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account responded:

"Absolutely.

(We just need to create him first.)"

A year later, they made good on this promise, releasing a video titled "Irish the Hedgehog" on the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel. According to Sega, the character was designed by artist Mark Hughes, and the video included a "folksy" remix of the song "Escape from the City" from Sonic Adventure 2 made by Hyper Potions and Jun Senoue.

A few years afterwards, Jacksepticeye would return to the Sonic franchise to voice another character: the appropriately-named Jack from the "Sonic Prime" episode "It Takes One to No Place".

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
1
Attachment In the ending of the PC version of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, the Count Olaf police mugshots are 3D squares that the camera zooms into. If you change the camera to look at the sides of these mugshots, you can see an anthropomorphic turtle holding a trophy with the caption "CONGRATULATIONS! A WINNER IS YOU!" (a reference to Pro Wrestling for NES).
Yakuza 4
subdirectory_arrow_right Yakuza: Like a Dragon (Franchise)
1
Through out the Yakuza series, the character of Goro Majima speaks with a Kansai accent, a Japanese accent associated with the Kansai region where Osaka is located. This accent is also stereotyped as being associated with criminals or gangsters. There are multiple instances where Goro Majima seemingly slips back into speaking in a Kanto accent, more associated with Tokyo and without this connotation, and this is even commented on by other characters, (with one notable instance being in Yakuza 4 where his sworn brother Taiga Saejima who speaks in a more natural Kansai accent informs him his accent is slipping) suggesting he puts up the accent to make himself seem tougher or more serious.
Glover
subdirectory_arrow_right Blitz Games Studios (Company)
1
The Garib collectibles in Glover originated as an in-joke, according to designer Rich Albon:

"The studio was doing a port for a Japanese company at around the time of Glover and they got a faxed bug report (yes, a faxed bug report!) which had one item that read, There is a problem with the Garib.' No one knew what a Garib was - there was no reference to it in the in game or in the code. So it kind of became an office meme: anything without a name became a Garib."

Offroad Thunder
1
Attachment Offroad Thunder has some humorous unused graphics, such as a "Winners don't use drugs" parody that says "Most winners don't use drugs", a satirical tip screen that says "use the steering wheel to steer!", someone's hand grasping a rubber chicken, and an image of a monkey with the caption "Look at the Funny[sic], DISTRACTING Monkey!!"
Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway
1
One of the challenges in Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is called "that's a good hook!" and allows the player to unlock Dr. Paula Hutchinson as a crew member. Unlike other challenge titles which reference catchphrases and episode titles, this references a well-known behind-the-scenes story from the production of Rocko's Modern Life, where a request from a Nickelodeon executive for the series to feature a strong female role model with a "good hook" lead to the conception of Hutchinson and her signature hook hand.

1
In the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct presentation, the new CEO of Nintendo of America, Doug Bowser, was introduced with a joke comparing his last name to the antagonist of the Mario series, Bowser. However, in Japanese, the character’s name is “Koopa”, so in the Japanese broadcast of the Nintendo Direct, they clarified the joke with subtitles explaining that his name is Bowser in English-language releases.
Pizza Tower
2
Attachment During development of Pizza Tower, multiple demo builds were released - among these was a build known as the "Peter Griffin Experience", built off of the 2018 "early test build". This demo replaced every single sprite of Peppino with a highly compressed edit of a stock image of Peter Griffin from Family Guy made to resemble Peppino, and replaced one of the game's musical tracks with a fan-made Family Guy remix.

After this build, the Peter Griffin "arms resting" pose would appear in some builds as a taunt, albeit as an actual sprite and not an edit, and a video would be posted by developer McPig showcasing the taunt, accompanied by the first note of the Family Guy theme song, under the name "family", likely referencing a a meme video that plays the first note and ends. This taunt was removed for unknown reasons in the final game.

Bio Force Ape
2
Attachment Bio Force Ape is a game that was never released - it did, before it's cancellation, get a spotlight in Nintendo Power, creating a level of curiosity surrounding it within NES fan communities. Capitalizing off of this curiosity, a post would be made on the Digital Press forum in 2005 claiming to show screenshots of a leaked prototype. While the first post appeared legitimate, the hoax would eventually be unraveled starting with a screenshot of a glitched super move that was "so powerful [that] it messes up the game's graphics", which humorously made it appear that Bio Force Ape was unleashing a powerful fart attack, as a set of glitched graphics appeared next to a crouching animation. The poster, going under the username PaulB812, would refuse to dump the game and refer to anybody who asked for it to be released as either "communists" or "butter-slathered... hoarding fatties", before finally unveiling the prank with a game screenshot of a cutscene where a fat butter monster points out that the ape is "worth 2K monies[sic]", before the ape punches him while saying "EAT COMMUNISM!" A real prototype would be leaked in 2010.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
subdirectory_arrow_right Yakuza 3 (Game)
1
The character Andre Richardson from Yakuza 3 is notorious for speaking in poor English despite him being American, with one line especially where he says:

"If you're looking for Daigo, Mine's taken him up to the roof."

In saying the line, "roof" is pronounced more as "ruff". This meme was referenced with his return in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where in the English dub, after Ichiban spends a night at the bar he runs, he says the line:

"If you ever need a roof over your head-"

And during this line he says the word roof in a similar matter.
