Disney Heroes: Battle Mode
2
On July 26, 2023, developer PerBlue released a poll requesting input on various franchises that were in consideration for inclusion in Disney Heroes: Battle Mode. As of March 2024, the only franchises from the poll to still not be part of the game are "Encanto", "Gravity Falls", "Miraculous Ladybug", "Inspector Gadget", "Amphibia", and "Fantasia". Notably, "Miraculous Ladybug" and "Inspector Gadget" are not actually owned by Disney, but appear to have been considered due to the company having ties to each of them. With "Miraculous Ladybug", Disney finances the show through its French division, giving them broadcasting rights in places such as the United States and select European regions. As for "Inspector Gadget", Disney was involved in the production of the 1999 live-action film based on the series due to owning DIC Entertainment at the time from merging with Capital Cities/ABC.

DanceDanceRevolution
1
In August 2015, location tests for DanceDanceRevolution (2014) were held in North America. This marked both the first time the series was location tested in North America since Dance Dance Revolution X2 and the first time eAMUSEMENT was officially supported in the region. The English translation was a more completed version of the one present in the Korean version. Furthermore, 47 songs were removed from this version due to copyright restrictions, mostly being licensed songs from previous entries and all the "U.M.UXBEMANI" songs.

In the end, DanceDanceRevolution (2014) was not released in North America, with the following game Dance Dance Revolution A becoming the first Arcade release in North America since Dance Dance Revolution X2.

Dark Souls

There are eight Titanite Demons in Dark Souls, but the one on the bridge connecting the Demon Ruins to Lost Izalith is the only one that respawns due to a typo in that Titanite Demon's event ID. However, it's unknown if this was an accident or a deliberate typo to remove a limit from upgrading weapons.

BlazBlue: Central Fiction
1
BlazBlue: Central Fiction is the first title in the BlazBlue series to not feature an English dub for its international release. According to Aksys Games, this was done to ensure that the game would release sooner, as they would have had to delay the game by six-to-eight months if they tried to add an English dub. This led to a fan petition to try and convince Aksys to either delay the game or add an English dub as DLC, which even included support from various actors involved with the BlazBlue series, such as Patrick Seitz (the English voice of series protagonist Ragna the Bloodedge).
BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle
1
During an interview with Forbes in 2016, producer Toshimichi Mori revealed that he had an interest in the Rooster Teeth webseries RWBY, and even expressed interest in making a game based on it, saying:

"If I were to make a game based on something that wasn't a complete original, which is what I have done in the past, it would be based on the intellectual property of RWBY. So each girl has their own kind of color, theme that they are associated with and the original creator has sadly passed away. If we were to ever make a fighting game of this, I would want to really spearhead that if possible."

Prior to EVO 2017, Rooster Teeth teased the possibility of a RWBY fighting game being announced there on their Twitter account. This game would end up being BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, which was announced after the BlazBlue: Central Fiction championships, where series protagonist Ruby Rose was one of the first four characters announced for the game.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin
2
In an interview with TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman published in Game Informer on March 5th, 2024, he revealed that the comic miniseries "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin", originally envisioned in 1987 as the final storyline during the original comic book's run and set 30 years in the future, was initially planned by Paramount to go "multimedia". However, they scrapped these plans, because concerns emerged about it conflicting with the sales and marketing for the recently-released 2023 animated film "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem". Paramount then suggested that Eastman and company adapt it into a video game so that they could "give it all the edge and all the attitude and intensity that [he] did in the comic series and even go a bit deeper."
Palworld
1
In the v.0.1.5.1 patch released at the end of February 2024, there were alterations made that were not listed in the patch notes, primarily involving censoring profanities and slurs. These changes apply even in single-player mode, where while players can still name things whatever they want, offensive words and names are replaced with asterisks. These changes were most likely made due to Palworld developer Pocket Pair's partnership with Microsoft, who agreed earlier that month to help develop the Xbox releases of the game and possibly the Steam version as well. Unlike Steam however, Xbox has very strict guidelines on what can and can't be said like other console platforms, suggesting that Pocket Pair was catering to Microsoft with this censorship, although neither company officially commented on these changes. While some players understand the need for such measures, others criticized the restrictions and advocated for optional toggles to allow individual customization.

Attachment In 2023, the YouTuber Markiplier collaborated with Lilith Games to appear as a collectible hero in Dislyte. In-game, he is a space engineer and temporary member of the Esper Union, having supposedly traveled to Dislyte's world through space and possibly time. While Dislyte released a CGI trailer for the collaboration, Markiplier also made his own video to advertise it titled "I Was Abducted...", where he talks directly to the viewers about how he was "abducted" into the world of Dislyte and his experiences there, seemingly losing his sanity over the course of the skit, until it eventually cuts to him advertising the game normally and remarking how he is both in the game and real-life at the same time.

All Elite Wrestling: Fight Forever
1
In an interview with Yuke's senior vice president and producer Hiromi Furuta published in VGC (Video Games Chronicle) on November 24th, 2020, she expressed that despite the split from their long-time licensing partner WWE, there was no rivalry between the two companies and that she still loved and respected them. She stated that Yuke's aims to create high-quality pro-wrestling games that resonate with the community, and that their new partnership with AEW was simply "creating a new product" with them. In making All Elite Wrestling: Fight Forever, she also revealed that a key source of inspiration came from WWF No Mercy's game system, which is beloved by fans of pro-wrestling games.

Franchise: Ace Attorney
1
From 2009 to 2013, Capcom Japan collaborated with the all-female musical theater company Takarazuka Revue to produce three musicals based on the Ace Attorney series, the first time Takarazuka had ever collaborated with a game company. The first production, "Gyakuten Saiban: The Truth Reborn", sold out all tickets on its first day, and with the second musical ("Gyakuten Saiban 2: The Truth Reborn, Again...") drew a combined total attendance of over 50,000 people. According to series creator Shu Takumi, the musical's director Suzuki Kei cleared the first four Ace Attorney games seven times each before sitting down to write the script. Additionally, while he was not involved in the first musical's production, Takumi did contribute feedback midway through the second musical's production. The musicals were successful enough that it prompted the Revue to partner with Capcom again to produce a musical based on the Sengoku Basara series, and once more to produce "Dai Gyakuten Saiban: New Truth Reborn", a musical based on the The Great Ace Attorney spinoff games.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
2
In an interview with the game's co-director/designer/programmer Naoki Hamaguchi published in The Washington Post on July 2nd, 2021, he reflected on the evolution of Final Fantasy VII Remake's battle system, which drew inspiration from the original game's Active Time Battle (ATB) system. Hamaguchi expressed satisfaction with its current form "in which the strategic element of the command-based battle from the original co-exists with the real-time, action-oriented battle". Additionally, the "Intermission" episode featured in FFVII Remake Intergrade introduced combo moves where Yuffie and Sonon team up, which Hamaguchi stated he wanted to try leveraging along with other elements from "Intermission" as he worked on what would become Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
2
In April 2023, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's lead battle programmer Satoru Koyama discussed the challenges he aimed to tackle when working on the game, with his main aspiration being to enhance the capabilities of AI characters. He emphasized the desire to create an AI capable of juggling a variety of techniques and magic, going beyond the limitations of Final Fantasy VII Remake's combat system. He said his goal was to surpass the Gambit System introduced in Final Fantasy XII, which allowed players to set commands and actions based on specific conditions, providing a wealth of strategic options.

Company: Nintendo
subdirectory_arrow_right Monolith Soft (Company), Namco (Company)
1
Monolith Soft was originally owned by Namco, but their relationship took a negative turn after Masaya Nakamura stepped down as president of Namco in 2002, three years prior to the company's merger with Bandai. As the company underwent changes, Monolith Soft felt that they were being given less creative freedom due to the newly-created Bandai Namco being less willing to take creative risks. They received consultation from Nintendo executive director Shinji Hatano, who advised them to continue making innovative projects. This inspired Monolith Soft to break away from Bandai Namco in favor of becoming a Nintendo subsidiary: Monolith Soft was allowed creative freedom in exchange for developing software exclusively for Nintendo platforms.

Initially, Nintendo had acquired an 80% share of the company, while Bandai Namco retained 16% of the company and remained as a development partner in part to strengthen their relationship with Nintendo. The remaining 4% was divided between the company's founders: Tetsuya Takahashi, Hirohide Sugiura, and Yasuyuki Honne. However, by April 2011, Nintendo had acquired the remaining 400 shares from Bandai Namco, granting them 96% ownership of Monolith Soft. The acquisition as a whole was notable for contrasting Nintendo's previous approach of not taking part in mergers and acquisitions of other companies. In a statement on the matter, former Nintendo president Satoru Iwata stated:

"When we say we do not do M&A, there are always exceptions, so let me explain about it. We have never said that we will never do M&A in any situation. Actually, we are not against M&A if Nintendo can absorb the real value of the company. However, in most cases, the value of software developing companies is attached to its people, not the company, which is merely a vessel for its people. So, when we purchase a company, we can purchase the vessel, but we cannot necessarily purchase the contents. Even if we should compete with others to purchase a software company, although we might be able to increase the sheer number of our developers and to gain a short-term result, we do not think it will do good for us in the long run. We have been repeatedly saying that we will not do that kind of M&A.
In the case of Monolith Software, Mr. Sugiura, the president, and Nintendo have a long-term relationship. How Mr. Sugiura thinks is close to how Nintendo thinks. The software Mr. Sugiura would like to create is in line with what Nintendo would like to have for its platform. So, we thought that Nintendo should support this idea, and we decided to take action.
If certain conditions are met, we may do the same thing in the future (M&A). However, we will be very careful and selective, so that we will only partner with people with whom Nintendo can create a long-term working relationship."

1
While bottled Blue Fire is meant to be used to melt Red Ice in the Ice Cavern, it can also be used to destroy brown stone Weak Walls that normally need to be destroyed with Bombs. However, it can only be used to break this specific kind of bombable wall and this function is never actually mentioned in the game, suggesting that it may be a glitch.
Mother 3

Attachment After the three-year time skip in the game's story, Lucas and Fuel each receive a new set of sprites showing that they went through an obvious growth spurt in that time. This is most easily distinguished by the size of their bodies and heads, where young Lucas and Fuel are scrunched down compared to their older selves. Kumatora also receives a new set of sprites after the time skip, but her growth spurt is less obvious since she was already a teenager with a tall body and head before the time skip. Aside from some additional cyan streaks on her hoodie, the only detail indicating she physically aged after the time skip is that her legs are one pixel taller.

As revealed by Squeaks D'Corgeh, the Spoiler:Dwellers are not "patrolling enemies". The reason why players are so easily spotted by them is because they are always tracking the player's location: they receive a ping on your location, head there, then check again and head to wherever you are now. The only time the Spoiler:Dwellers ever "wander" is when the player is hiding in one of the numerous barrels scattered throughout the area.
