The end of the story has the two main characters walking off into the sunset with one of them saying "You know, Sam, this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship", referencing a line from the ending of the 1942 film "Casablanca".

After defeating Solidus Snake at the end of the game, he falls to his death off of the Federal Hall building. Just before he falls however, if you look closely, you can see his lips move slightly in the brief moments that they are not covered by the collar of his exoskeleton. By replacing Solidus' model with Solid Snake's (who shares most of Solidus' facial features) through mods, it reveals that Solidus was actually saying one last message to Raiden. However, the dialogue during this moment is still muted, so Solidus' last words remain unknown.

In the E3 1997 demo reel for LEGO Island, an early version of the bad ending is shown, which is significantly longer than the final game's ending scene, showing situations such as a motorcycle breaking down, minifigures losing their heads, an ambulance falling into a river, a minifigure getting their leg bitten by a shark, a homeless minifigure begging for change, and the Information Center experiencing a fire. The final game significantly shortens this to just the Brickster contemplating what he's done in front of the town debris, likely as the original ending was deemed too depressing for small children.

Who Wants to be a Millionaire? 2nd Edition on the Game Boy Color has a somewhat cynical ending roll before the credits:
Hey, congratulations
You're a millionaire!
Well you're really
a fake millionaire
But c'mon...
What did you really expect?
I mean, I can't hand out
a million dollars to every person
that's lucky enough to answer
fifteen trivia questions in a row.
Alright maybe it wasn't luck,
but there's only one way
to find out.
Play another game O.K.[sic]
See you next time.

Despite appearing as simply one of the many near-indistinguishable motion-controlled sports compilation games released in the wake of Wii Sports' popularity, Game Party Champions features an emotional and personal storyline about a child dealing with grief over their father's death, assisted by a character Spoiler:who is eventually revealed to be the father's ghost. Both writer Steve Bowler and voice actor Yuri Lowenthal were shocked by Warner Bros.' approval of the script. Bowler had intended for his daughter - who the protagonist, Riley, was named after - to play the game after he dies and learn life lessons from it.

In the Demo ending, other than the dialogue used in the skit, there is unused dialogue present suggesting some parts of the ending were scrapped:
It's worth noting that Mukumuku is silent in the demo while Mekumeku just doesn't load, but is present in memory. Whether it was scrapped or is still unlockable is unknown.
Also in the room, there are 4 maids surrounding Riou just out of bounds at the bottom of the screen. After some testing, it was found to be a developer trick, wherein the player is always in control of Riou, and when interreacting with any of the maids, the demo will end early.
”I think that‘s a wise decision.”
”The normal ending is about to start.”
”The best ending is about to start.”
”You‘re wrong, brother Mukumuku. I heard that it‘s not done yet.”
”Erp.....”

There were 2 official demo versions released for the game. Suikoden 2 (JP) demo was given alongside Metal Gear Solid (JP) on September 3, 1998; Suikoden 2 (PAL) demo was given alongside Vandal Hearts 2 (PAL) on June 30, 2000.
In the game there are 2 modes: New Game and Battle Mode.
New Game essentially has the the gameplay it would at retail until the battle against the Mist Shade, and an additional skit as an ending. When translated to English, this reads:
In Battle mode, the player traverses North Swallow Pass, now called Trial Road, with a couple of different party members, battling against enemies and a different boss. This mode is also present in the normal game, but is inaccessible without hacking. Both modes also have their respective ending.
There is not much different from the retail version, but the PAL demo does contain the full base game (although it is translated into Spanish for some reason).

Starting with Mission 5: "The Prince and the Outlaw" when Robin learns that Prince John is planning to crown himself king of England and began gathering the Crown Jewels, the player can try and steal all of them throughout the game, including:
• Royal Sceptre, Mission 5: "The Prince and the Outlaw"
• Doomsday Book, Mission 7: "The Evening Visitor"
• Coronation Spoon, Mission 9: "The Lock Up and the Friar"
• Sword of State, Mission 10: "The Silver Arrow"
• Ampulla, Mission 12: "A Wedding and a Funeral"
• Richard's Sigil, Mission 13: "The Escape"
• Royal Crown, Mission 14: "The Letter"
The Silver Arrow itself, also found in Mission 10, despite not counting as one of the Crown Jewels, is displayed alongside the rest of them.
Gathering all of the Crown Jewels increases the final score, but after completing the final mission, it will also unlock a secret ending. Following the last cutscene, a new segment will load showing the main characters, some civilians and soldiers at the Sherwood Forest hideout throwing a techno dance party complete with modern electronic music (in contrast to the orchestral medieval soundtrack throughout the rest of the game), turntables and loudspeakers. The player is only able to control Stuteley, but he will return to his starting position after every attempt to move.

During development, the mother of the game's lead designers Brian and Andrew Allanson was diagnosed with cancer, which eventually resulted in her death. This lead the team to rework certain parts of the game's plot, aiming to have "a more 'humanistic' perspective" and "sand down some of the game's more cynical edges". By the end, nearly a quarter of the game had been remade, including a slight change to the game's ending.

M17: Infestation has a goal of destroying a facility used to raise Metroids. The side objective is for a player to return a Metroid Egg with them. This side objective is notably canon as General Alex Miles' debriefing requests one be returned for research purposes.
Furthermore, upon beating the game after clearing this side objective, a bonus post-credits cutscene is shown in which Spoiler:Sylux, from Metroid Prime Hunters, breaks into a Galactic Federation facility, with a Metroid freshly hatched.

One of Star Fox Command's most infamous endings see Krystal ousted from the Lylat System and becoming a bounty hunter named "Kursed" in another galaxy. Looking at the Japanese script however, reveals a slightly different story:
A direct translation of this into English would be:
It shows that Krystal instead renames herself to クラゾア (Kurazoa), which translates to Krazoa.
This is clearly a reference to the ancient tribe that once ruled Dinosaur Planet in Star Fox Adventures, similar to how her spacecraft is shaped and named after the CloudRunner tribe from that game.
その後彼女は過去を捨て去り
別の銀河でクラゾアと名乗る
凄腕の賞金稼ぎになっていた
惑星キューで偶然クラゾアと
出会ったフォックスが彼女に
気付くことはなかったそうだ

A direct translation of this into English would be:

The "Replicant D-ignition" event required players to unlock and beat difficult Boss Songs in order to collect their respective orbs. By collecting them all and beating the Extra Stage "Egoism 440" with a grade of AA or higher, the song "Max.(Period)" is revealed as an Encore Extra Stage. This marked the first time "Max.(Period)" ever appeared in an arcade entry of the series after its debut in the Japanese console release of Dance Dance Revolution Extreme.
During the event's second half, by beating "Max.(Period)" as an Extra Stage with a grade of AA or higher, a new Encore Extra Stage is revealed: "Over the 'Period'".
According to the song production information by composer TAG, "Over the 'Period'" was composed as the final part of the "Replicant D-ignition" Event to represent how, despite the assumption that the inclusion of "Max.(Period)" signaled the end of the series, this new song represents how the series is far from over:
In the production notes for the song "DDR TAGMIX -LAST DanceR-", TAG revealed that he intentionally left the "Because" vague to let players fill in the gap. Though, in his own interpretation, the full sentence is actually "Because I love BEMANI and DDR."

"I had planned the story for Replicant D-ignition from the beginning.
First of all, MAX.(period) was going to be included in the arcade version.
MAX.(period) was recorded in the game that was the counterpart of the rumored final arcade title, I myself knew this so I was hesitant to record.
But I was against it. Pretending to end. It is not going to end. Is it just dramatic?
Replicant D-ignition began.
It was finished with EGOISM 440, a really good job by U1, and then MAX.(period) appearing at full force. Is the arcade series finally over? How many people thought it was?
Meanwhile, someone tweeted.
"TAG has yet to appear"
It was a very good read.
This song appeared in Phase 2 after a short period, and the excitement when this song appeared was extraordinary, to the point where some knees trembled.
So the condition was clearing the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE with a PERFECT FULL COMBO while playing in DIFFICULT? Now that Good is part of a combo, it seemed like that antithesis of hard.
I think that there was not a sense of tension at all.
Since X3's LOVE IS THE POWER was cleared up easily, this time the Difficult chart was made Level 15 so it would not be able to be cleared that easily, but it was a bit overkill...
It just rolled out in a direction that I never thought.
Top players recorded it. A song that was gradually cleared.
When the strategy battle involving not only Japan but Taiwan, South Korea, North America, etc. started, there was a feeling of excitement and expectation similar to whether human beings could reach an unknown planet for the first time.
I checked the progress everyday and was amazing. Today, the human race has reached so far.
And when the long-awaited first clear arrived, I was happy as if I cleared it.
However, at that time there was another chart cleared besides Difficult. "Beginner chart seems to have been cleared... Even though it is the easiest chart of Over The “Period”", "It is a real hell...", but I knew the veteran player who came this far would do it.
When the melody from Another Phase appears in the middle of the song, please remember the story that began with Another Phase, the song that symbolized the DanceDanceRevolution title which removed the numbering, and that ends with Over The “Period” (but it is not the end!).
Let's advance together. The light points to the place beyond.
Why do you need KONAMI ORIGINAL songs?
Because..."

Like most of the other Classic Sonic games, Knuckles' Chaotix features multiple endings. While the "bad endings" of other 90s Sonic games tend to simply run off of implication (such as having Dr. Eggman taunt the player while in possession of a given game's powerful MacGuffin), the bad ending of Knuckles' Chaotix opts to directly show the consequences for the player's failure to collect the Chaos Rings, and shows Metal Sonic Kai demolishing a city into flames on-screen.

During the first fight with Leon, it is possible to defeat him either through cheating or by grinding to at least level 12 beforehand. Beating him will trigger a short cutscene showing a secret ending to the game where Spoiler:Rutee briefly lambasts Leon and then forcibly enlists an upset Stahn to join her and Mary in becoming an infamous trio of globe-trotting Lens hunters, before the game abruptly returns to the title screen. This ending is not featured in the game's PlayStation 2 remake, as Leon's fight is redesigned to be impossible to defeat.
