Star Fox Adventures
subdirectory_arrow_right Dinosaur Planet (Game)
1
Attachment The original Dinosaur Planet was supposed to have six total SpellStones for Sabre and Krystal to collect, three for each. After collecting one of these SpellStones (typically after defeating a boss), they'd have to trek back to their respective Force Point Temple, with Sabre's being the Volcano Force Point Temple and Krystal's being the Desert Force Point Temple, and deposit it there, in order to stop Drakor and General Scales from extracting any more of Dinosaur Planet's magic energy into the Kamerian Heart.

In the final Star Fox Adventures, this was reduced to four SpellStones for Fox to collect, two for each Force Point Temple. While the Volcano Force Point was brought in mostly in-tact from Dinosaur Planet, the Desert Force Point was reworked into the Ocean Force Point Temple, retaining most of the same layout and puzzles, but eschewing the industrial or technological aesthetic in favor of a underwater ruins theme.

One notable difference between the Desert Force Point and the Ocean Force Point is that in the former, Krystal uses an elevator to descend deeper into the temple, whereas in the latter, Fox just simply uses a teleporter to access the lower levels. The E3 2002 Star Fox Adventures kiosk reveals that Rare had still intended on using an elevator to connect the lower and upper portions of the Ocean Force Point like its Dinosaur Planet equivalent, but this was scrapped in the final game.

The music that currently plays in the Ocean Force Point Temple is the track that was intended for the Golden Plains, a desert area in Dinosaur Planet that Krystal would have to trek through in order to access the Desert Force Point Temple. This area was removed in the final Star Fox Adventures, and Fox now accesses the Ocean Force Point Temple through Cape Claw.

Kingdom Hearts III
subdirectory_arrow_right Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] (Game), Kingdom Hearts (Franchise)
1
Attachment In 2013, a Kingdom Hearts online mobile game was in development that never saw the light of day. It was to be called "Kingdom Hearts: Fragmented Keys". The game was rumored to feature customizable avatar characters (like Union Cross). It would also have been in 3D instead of Union cross' 2D art style. Most interesting and exciting of all though (gathered from concept art no less) was the Disney world list as the game would feature returning worlds like: Agrabah, Wonderland, a Lilo & Stitch Hawaii world, Space Paranoids/The Grid, London/Neverland, and Dwarf Woodlands. It also included worlds that didn't appear in the series yet but would appear in later games like Union Cross and Kingdom Hearts III, such as: Arendell (Frozen), Kingdom of Corona (Tangled), and Niceland/Game Central Station (Wreck-It Ralph). Finally, and most shockingly, a world based on the Star Wars franchise, although this world's chronology is unknown as concept art show different conflicting eras, such as an image of characters Anakin, Obi-wan, Padme, and Master Yoda in their exact looks from Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie and series in a separatist gunship's hanger as well as a planet that looks similar to Tatooine and an anachronistic Death Star power station room. It is unknown why this game was cancelled.

Streets of Kamurocho
1
About a month before the release of Yakuza: Like a Dragon in North America, the protagonist of that game, Ichiban Kasuga, made his playable debut in the region in the game Streets of Kamurocho, a reskin of a Streets of Rage 2 level with Yakuza characters and locations. His moveset is a reskin of Axel Stone from that game as are the other two playable characters: Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima.
Cool Spot
1
Attachment According to an Electronic Gaming Monthly preview article, Cool Spot was originally a Reversi clone like Spot: The Video Game, titled Spot II - the graphics used in Cool Spot seem to have been reused from cutscenes in the cancelled game.

The reason why Ocean swapped out the theme songs to its loaders so often was because the coder for Ocean's loading engine, Paulie Hughes, would become annoyed by listening the same song over and over while producing master copies of so many games that had the same song.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
subdirectory_arrow_right Yakuza 3 (Game)
1
The character Andre Richardson from Yakuza 3 is notorious for speaking in poor English despite him being American, with one line especially where he says:

"If you're looking for Daigo, Mine's taken him up to the roof."

In saying the line, "roof" is pronounced more as "ruff". This meme was referenced with his return in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where in the English dub, after Ichiban spends a night at the bar he runs, he says the line:

"If you ever need a roof over your head-"

And during this line he says the word roof in a similar matter.

Doom
subdirectory_arrow_right Chex Quest (Game)
1
Chex Quest was based on the engine of Doom - the engine could be officially licensed thanks to the game technically not making a profit of it's own as a free game, only profit for the Chex cereal, and the release of Quake rendering the old Doom engine obsolete.

Attachment The game start theme from Punch-Out!!, both the arcade and NES versions, was reused from the NES version of Defender II. The original Defender II version ends with a pastiche of the Star Wars theme, something that was not retained in Punch-Out!!.

Despite retaining "the Rapper" in its title and its source material being a music game, PaRappa only ever raps once in the anime adaptation of the PaRappa the Rapper franchise - that being the penultimate scene of the final episode, with the song sung being a rendition of PaRappa the Rapper 2's final stage, Always Love.

Rocko's Modern Life: Match-Master
1
Attachment Several of the tiles in Rocko's Modern Life: Match-Master are based on different cropped areas of promotional images used on other tiles. There are two tile sets based on a promotional image showing Rocko and his friends on a couch watching TV - one that shows the entire image, while the other is zoomed in on Ed and Bev Bighead. The tile that shows the entire image does not crop out Ed and Bev, leading to what could be considered, by technicality, partially duplicate tile sets.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2
1
During the prerelease of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, a set of placeholder pages were found on the game's website relating to different characters. Most notable of these pages was one for Helga, a character who was in the first Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and hadn't been seen in All-Star Brawl 2 marketing materials or leaks at that point - this led a lot of fans to believe that Helga would be returning. Ultimately, she would only be a background cameo on the Aquarium stage.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
subdirectory_arrow_right Slap City (Game)
1
Attachment The layout of the Traffic Jam stage in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, consisting of a bus driving along moving asphalt that players can fall onto and either ram into the bus or get conveyed off-screen, while cars appear to the left and right to stand on, is recycled from a stage from Ludosity's first platform fighter Slap City called Public Transit, with the main difference aside from the Hey Arnold! theming being the absence of an equivalent to the Apathetic Frog helicopter.

The background music for the Slap City stage is also called "Traffic Jam" on the game's song selector (though the official Bandcamp release and the internal file names call the song "Noisy City" instead) and a side-scrolling stage reusing assets from Public Transit in Slap City's story mode is called "Traffic Jam".
