Attachment Bleem! was a PlayStation emulator released for Microsoft Windows 98 and the Sega Dreamcast. Unlike the vast majority of emulators before and since, it was released as a paid product on store shelves. Bleem!, although very impressive for the time and capable of running on low-end PCs, had many compatability issues, with the only game that ran perfectly on Windows Bleem! being the US version of One, while the only games that could be run at all on Dreamcast were Tekken 3, Metal Gear Solid, and Gran Turismo 2, all with specialised emulators released on their own "Bleemcast" discs.

Sony would sue Bleem! twice over alleged copyright infringement, and despite all odds, Sony lost due to Bleem!'s use of screenshots in promo material and the PS1 BIOS being protected by fair use. However, a mix of legal fees and Sony threatening retailers stocking Bleem! products with subpoenas would force Bleem! off of shelves anyway, and its website would be replaced with an image of Sonic the Hedgehog mourning at a grave with the Bleem! logo carved on it. Bleem! would countersue Sony for anti-competitive activity.

The popularity of Bleem! would lead both Sega and Microsoft to attempt to work with Bleem! officially to make PS1 games run on Dreamcast and Xbox, though these plans fell through due to Sega being afraid of Sony's litigation, while the developers of Bleem! simply felt Microsoft wasn't paying high enough for the license for Bleem! (something they had come to regret in the years since).

The PC version of the game includes four female playable characters while the PlayStation version doesn't have any. According to Visual Sciences programmer Russell Kay, the lower number of playable characters in that version was due to VRAM issues and the fact that most of the PC characters were completed in the final months of the game's development, by which point the PlayStation version had already been finished.

In 2012, an HD compilation of the first two Yakuza games was ported to the Wii U. This port of the games performed so poorly that it sold less than 2000 copies in its first week of release, likely due to the fact that both games were already ported to the PlayStation 3 where more players already owned it. However, series producer Toshihiro Nagoshi stated that this port of the game was not done to generate sales, but as an "experiment" to see how people would respond to the games being on the Wii U.

Attachment In the Wii version of Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, Heather is seen holding a croquet mallet at all times - this appears to be a reference to the musical Heathers, where the 3 main characters are all named Heather and play croquet. Early concept art of the character by Ken Capelli shows that she originally had a design more closely resembling costumes from the musical and was named "Heathers". This version of Heather has long, spiky hair that is half ginger and half shadow, split down the middle. She still has her mallet, but her early design wears a green sweater instead of a green dress.

The music in Frogger is taken from a variety of sources, some public domain (such as the Japanese nursery rhyme "Dog Policeman" and the minstrel song "Camptown Races") while others are stolen copyrighted music from anime (the Japanese theme songs to Rascall the Raccoon and Heidi, Girl of the Alps).

Re-releases of Frogger tend to replace all of the music in the game, including certain public domain songs, with original tracks (though "Camptown Races" tends to remain intact).

Stage 1 of Um Jammer Lammy was incomplete in the original PlayStation version, not being accessible in either multiplayer or PaRappa's story. With a GameShark code, a US player can access an unfinished version of PaRappa's stage 1, which has no animations and only uses triangle buttons. Stage 1 would eventually be finished for Um Jammer Lammy NOW!, released 9 months after the PlayStation version, with Rammy and PaRappa support.

Stage 1 is the only PaRappa stage to use the instrumental of the Lammy version.

Attachment Tails' Skypatrol was originally developed as a licensed Disney game for an unreleased budget handheld system aimed at a younger audience with a focus on educational content - much like Sega's Pico - and was reworked into a Tails game for the Game Gear after the console was scrapped, due to the Game Gear's similar stats to the unreleased hardware. It is not known which Disney character Tails replaced, however a pre-release promotional video shows the Mickey Mouse character Peg-Leg Pete in place of Bearenger as the boss of Ruin Wood.
