In the Japanese version, and prototype US builds, of DuckTales, the ending line of the game was the grammatically incorrect, and arguably out-of-character, Scrooge line "There really is more important treasure than this, that is... dream and friends", which was changed to "I couldn't have done it without you. I really am the richest duck in the world." for the US release. Darlene Lacey, a producer on the Disney side of DuckTales would say of the partially unused line in a Kotaku interview:"It seemed so earnest and dramatic, I was so tempted to leave it as is, but I knew I couldn’t. So, I changed it to the more polished, but forgettable ‘Right, lads! I couldn’t have done it without you. I really am the richest duck in the world.’ I love that fans found out about the original ending. It was the better line!"

Despite appearing as simply one of the many near-indistinguishable motion-controlled sports compilation games released in the wake of Wii Sports' popularity, Game Party Champions features an emotional and personal storyline about a child dealing with grief over their father's death, assisted by a character Spoiler:who is eventually revealed to be the father's ghost. Both writer Steve Bowler and voice actor Yuri Lowenthal were shocked by Warner Bros.' approval of the script. Bowler had intended for his daughter - who the protagonist, Riley, was named after - to play the game after he dies and learn life lessons from it.

It's worth noting that Mukumuku is silent in the demo while Mekumeku just doesn't load, but is present in memory. Whether it was scrapped or is still unlockable is unknown.
Also in the room, there are 4 maids surrounding Riou just out of bounds at the bottom of the screen. After some testing, it was found to be a developer trick, wherein the player is always in control of Riou, and when interreacting with any of the maids, the demo will end early.

There were 2 official demo versions released for the game. Suikoden 2 (JP) demo was given alongside Metal Gear Solid (JP) on September 3, 1998; Suikoden 2 (PAL) demo was given alongside Vandal Hearts 2 (PAL) on June 30, 2000.

Starting with Mission 5: "The Prince and the Outlaw" when Robin learns that Prince John is planning to crown himself king of England and began gathering the Crown Jewels, the player can try and steal all of them throughout the game, including:

During development, the mother of the game's lead designers Brian and Andrew Allanson was diagnosed with cancer, which eventually resulted in her death. This lead the team to rework certain parts of the game's plot, aiming to have "a more 'humanistic' perspective" and "sand down some of the game's more cynical edges". One of Star Fox Command's most infamous endings see Krystal ousted from the Lylat System and becoming a bounty hunter named "Kursed" in another galaxy. Looking at the Japanese script however, reveals a slightly different story: その後彼女は過去を捨て去り

A direct translation of this into English would be:
Afterward, she discarded her past and assumed the name Krazoa in another galaxy, becoming a skilled bounty hunter. It seems that Fox, who coincidentally met Krazoa on the planet Que, didn't recognize her.
It shows that Krystal instead renames herself to クラゾア (Kurazoa), which translates to Krazoa.
This is clearly a reference to the ancient tribe that once ruled Dinosaur Planet in Star Fox Adventures, similar to how her spacecraft is shaped and named after the CloudRunner tribe from that game.

Like most of the other Classic Sonic games, Knuckles' Chaotix features multiple endings. While the "bad endings" of other 90s Sonic games tend to simply run off of implication (such as having Dr. Eggman taunt the player while in possession of a given game's powerful MacGuffin), the bad ending of Knuckles' Chaotix opts to directly show the consequences for the player's failure to collect the Chaos Rings, and shows Metal Sonic Kai demolishing a city into flames on-screen.

During the first fight with Leon, it is possible to defeat him either through cheating or by grinding to at least level 12 beforehand. Beating him will trigger a short cutscene showing a secret ending to the game where Spoiler:Rutee briefly lambasts Leon and then forcibly enlists an upset Stahn to join her and Mary in becoming an infamous trio of globe-trotting Lens hunters, before the game abruptly returns to the title screen. This ending is not featured in the game's PlayStation 2 remake, as Leon's fight is redesigned to be impossible to defeat.
