No More Heroes

The suggestive motion that Travis (and the player) must perform to recharge the Beam Katana resembles a masturbatory act because the japanese word, "自家発電", means both "Manual power generation" and "masturbation".
Skullgirls

Attachment According to Lab Zero Games, the total cost of adding a new character to the game's roster is more than $150,000:

"No doubt you've noticed the surprisingly large sum we're requesting to finish Squigly. Believe it or not, this is actually cheap for a fighting game character, and the only reason it's even this cheap is because she's already partially complete, and our staff have volunteered to take pay cuts to try and increase the odds of meeting our goal."
Rayman Legends
1
The game was originally planned to be released exclusively for the Wii U. However, because of the commercial failure of Wii U exclusive ZombiU, Ubisoft believed that Rayman Legends would not be proftiable as a Wii U exclusive, and decided to make it multi-platform.

However, rather than release the already-finished Wii U version on its previously announced release date and release the other versions later, Ubisoft decided to delay the release by 6 months so that all versions could be released simultaneously. This upset not only the fans who had been eagerly anticipating the game, but also the development team.

To try and counter-balance the negative press, Ubisoft introduced an free application to the Wii U, in the form of a Challenges App, that provided a number of different challenge based levels for users to compete for higher scores and faster times on an online leaderboard without purchasing the game.

Call of Duty: Ghosts

The second Extinction map, "Nightfall", has an easter egg very similar to the "LOL" easter egg on the first Extinction map, "Point of Contact".

Four of the transformers on the utility poles will spark in a random order, and shooting them in that order will cause the word "ZAP!!!" to appear on the screen. After doing so, every enemy killed within four to five minutes will explode parts of snowmen.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Attachment Actor and martial artist Jackie Chan had once endorsed a Chinese Famicom (NES) clone console called the "Little Tyrant", produced by the company of the same name (known in English as Subor). The console was marketed as a "learning machine" to avoid China's ban on video game consoles at the time.
Donkey Kong

The game originally didn't have a jumping mechanic. It was implemented as a way to avoid obstacles when Shigeru Miyamoto and his team thought "If you had a barrel rolling towards you, what would you do?"
Company: Double Fine
1
Attachment The name "Double Fine" comes from a traffic sign on the Golden Gate Bridge that used to say "Slow To 45 MPH - Double Fine Zone".
Spyro: Year of the Dragon

The rabbits in Dino Mines - Sheriff Wyatt, Deputy Holiday and Deputy Roy - are named after famous western gunslingers Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, and actor Roy Rogers.
Hitman: Blood Money

Attachment In the mission Amendment XXV, in the wing in which Morris initially can be found, is a hall with a fireplace that isn't lit. Throwing a lady's briefcase (from the lady that goes for a smoke at the beginning of the mission) into the fire three times correctly, causes the marines to all form a line and start dancing the can-can. A marine suit is also needed for this.
Hitman: Blood Money

Attachment A Hitman website is visible on a computer screen near the start of the mission "A Dance with the Devil".
World of Warcraft

Attachment PlayStation and Game Boy counterparts of the game were planned but later canceled. The PlayStation version was being developed by BlueSky Software and featured completely different gameplay, without the rings and more akin to Tomb Raider. It was canceled possibly due to Titus' license expiring (though another trailer suggests it was to be published by Interplay).

In 2020, a prototype build of the game dated at June 22, 2000 was uploaded to the Internet Archive.

Unused text strings, sounds and graphics indicate that there was going to be an age-based difficulty system, similar to that of Lego Chess. This was probably removed due to time or space issues.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

If DK is left idle for long enough, he will start playing a blue Nintendo 3DS XL, similar to to how he would play a grey Nintendo DS in DKC Returns. The audio heard from the system is actually from four real 3DS games by Nintendo:
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Mario Kart 7
Super Mario 3D Land
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
Knuckles' Chaotix
1
Attachment Mighty the Armadillo's sprite sheet is nearly identical to Sonic's sprite sheet from Sonic Crackers, a Genesis prototype game from which Knuckles Chaotix drew its elastic ring mechanic.

This has led fans to speculate that Sonic was originally intended to be in the game instead of Mighty, but was changed late in development. This, as well as the theory that Tails was also meant to be included, is backed up by other assets in the game, including Amy Rose being hidden in a sound test and Sonic and Tails appearing in the ending screen when the game is completed with all 7 Chaos Rings.
