Attachment Graffiti on a wall near the Hub depicts a monster with tally marks next to it. The graffiti appears to be similar to the enemies of the game's early development title of "Killer Freaks from Outer Space". This could be a reference to the early enemies of the game, or a leftover piece from that development period.

Attachment Originally, ZombiU was supposed to be a Raving Rabbids Playstation 3/Xbox 360 game called "Attack of the Killer Rabbids from Outer Space". It was then changed again to an arcade-style FPS Wii U game called simply "Killer Freaks from Outer Space" before becoming the re-imagining of the first Ubisoft game ever released called "Zombi".

ZombiU is actually a re-imagining of one of Ubisoft's very first games, simply titled "Zombi". Similar themes and mechanics are used in both games. If a character's health is depleted, they turn into a zombie and roam the room they died in. The main difference is that Zombi was set in a mall, like George A. Romero's "Dawn of the Dead".
