Attachment The audio used for the ChuChus is an argument between two Japanese men, but sped up and played in reverse.

The man at the start says "At least I'm not balding" and the man near the end says "and looking like you are, people will think you're a monster".

Thank you to SteelBallJack for the translation. The audio has been updated from the source, as it wasn't reversed until now.

The game's main theme song is a combination of both the Earth God's Lyric and the Wind God's Aria, both of which are the last songs you learn in the game.

The Stars at night are not part of the skybox texture; they are actually polygonal vector models. This is done because vector graphics are infinitely scale-able and having a textured skybox would look pixelated if looked at through the telescope.

Attachment The three goddess statues are actually a reference to Pikmin. The Din statue has a nose like a Red Pikmin, The Faore statue has ears like a Yellow Pikmin, and the Nayru statue has a crack that looks like a mouth, the defining trait of a Blue Pikmin.

In 2016, an American livestreamer discovered that the boss of the Forbidden Woods, Kalle Demos, could be killed in one hit by pouring a bottle of Forest Water (found in the Forest Haven) onto its exposed flower head, after a user in her chat jokingly suggested using the Forest Water to water the plant monster. While this trick was discovered while playing the Wii U remaster, the secret was also confirmed to exist in the original GameCube release.

Attachment The 2000 manga adaptation of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time features a race of bird-like humanoids called the Watatara. According to series producer Eiji Aonuma in a 2005 interview with the magazine Nintendo Dream, the Watatara later inspired the Rito, a similar race of bird people that debuted in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Attachment The Master Sword being a sword that would get pulled out from its pedestal by those chosen appears to be derived from the Arthurian Legend of Excalibur, also known as the "sword in the stone". Similar to how King Arthur was divinely chosen to be able to pull out Excalibur, Link was given the power by the Goddesses to pull out the Master Sword. Because of these similarities, the Master Sword was renamed to "Excalibur" in the French localizations of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
