Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon
1
Attachment There are four unused voice clips intended for the Newscaster on Putt Putt's radio that appears to be a developer in-joke. When put together they read:

"A criminal suit was filed against Mr. Firebird. He is accused of purposeful wrong-doing and criminal neglect. It is believed that Mr. Firebird's negligence caused Putt-Putt's unfortunate accident earlier today."

The DOS version of Zoop has unused text from a scrapped online multiplayer mode.
Suikoden II
2
Attachment According to Suikosource user JiN88, the Japanese demo of Suikoden II contains two debug/testing rooms.

The first test room claims to be in Radat Town, despite seeming to be in Kyaro Town. The room contains various warping and unfinished textures, out-of-place objects like barrels, and two non-functioning Warp points. Of the warp points, one can be found down near a river and loads nothing, while the other can be found near a bridge with an Anita NPC and some invisible objects. While this test room seems to be empty, except for one small area featuring several invisible objects, a pushable tree that you can talk to, and a row of NPCs that can be pushed, but cannot be interacted with without crashing the game. There are also two Gabocha NPCs, one of which can warp you back to somewhere else in the test room, while the other has some dialogue and acts like a shopkeeper. Finishing the conversation with the shopkeeper Gabocha will cause the game to crash. Interacting with any Anita NPC will cause the game to crash.

The second test room contains several repeating groups of Anita, Gengen, and Old Man NPCs in a sort of army formation. The name of this second debug room is "神様の村" which means "Village of God"/"God's village". Talking to the Anita and Gengen NPC groups will have them say a single line of dialogue (the Anitas however will have no text), and once finished will cause the game to try and load something, which results in the game crashing. It's thought that they would try to warp you somewhere with a cutscene. Raww Le Klueze, global admin of the Suikosource forums, has translated this room's dialogue as such:

"The Gengens each say:
• "I am the sound change god"
• "I am the sound test god"
• "I am the window change god"
• "I am the unit change god" (for this phrase, he uses the same word as Apple does when you rearrange war units)

Some of what the Old Man says follows the same format "I am the god of !" in the middle row
Library, Suggestion box, Restaurant, Cooking Battles, Guardian Deity and Peeping...? (He also laughs after that one. Bath scenes maybe?)

Top says "The detective god is here!"
Bottom "Fishing god here!" "I'm the god of tablets" (same word as the plates found in the Sindar ruins, presumably tests that?)

Last one on the bottom I don't know, he just seems to be making noise cause it just says BABANBABANBANBAN - HAAPIBANONO."

This latter piece of dialogue might be a reference to the song "Nice Hot Water", a 1966 song in the "Nihon no Uta" Japanese local song series that was famously covered by the Japanese comedy rock band The Drifters. The first line before the hyphen is the same as the song, and the second line after the hyphen is almost the same as the song.

Daze Before Christmas
1
Inside the code for the SNES version of Daze Before Christmas are a set of mostly Christmas-related quotes and messages:

Any dramatic game the producers want us to take seriously as a
representation of contemporary reality cannot be taken seriously as a
representation of anything -- except a game to be ignored by anyone
capable of sitting upright in a chair and chewing gum simultaneously.
-- Richard Schickel (slightly modified)

... Now you're ready for the actual shopping. Your goal should be to
get it over with as quickly as possible, because the longer you stay in
the mall, the longer your children will have to listen to holiday songs
on the mall public-address system, and many of these songs can damage
children emotionally. For example: "Frosty the Snowman" is about a
snowman who befriends some children, plays with them until they learn
to love him, then melts. And "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" is about
a young reindeer who, because of a physical deformity, is treated as an
outcast by the other reindeer. Then along comes good, old Santa. Does
he ignore the deformity? Does he look past Rudolph's nose and respect
Rudolph for the sensitive reindeer he is underneath? No. Santa asks
Rudolph to guide his sleigh, as if Rudolph were nothing more than some
kind of headlight with legs and a tail. So unless you want your
children exposed to this kind of insensitivity, you should shop
quickly. -- Dave Barry, "Christmas Shopping: A Survivor's Guide"

I stopped believing in Santa Claus when I was six. Mother took me to
see him in a department store and he asked for my autograph. -- Shirley Temple
Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!
1
Traveler's Tales had intended to slide a Christian Easter egg into Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!, inserting a sticker on a suitcase reading "JOHN 3:16", a citation for a Bible verse reading:

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"

When Disney saw it, they insisted that it be removed, so in the final game the sticker simply reads "NY CITY".
Courage the Cowardly Dog: Creep TV
1
Courage the Cowardly Dog: Creep TV has secret codes and levels that went undiscovered until 20 years after its release due to a glitch making them inaccessible. The "daScore" code, which shows a counter of how many ghosts you've zapped; and the "mirage" code, which expands the game map and allows access to secret levels - one where you can acquire glasses, and another that has a sign simply reading Eustace's catchphrase, "STUPID DOG!" - however, if you get the glasses then read the sign, it will instead say "Wee...amazing! You found it! GOOD DOG!"
JumpStart Baby
1
Attachment Inside the files of the 1998 version of JumpStart Baby is a military-themed mission select graphic titled "DEFCON 4: THE ALISA FILES". The origin of this file and how it ended up in a game like JumpStart Baby is unknown.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
1
According to director Toshiyuki Kusakihara, he wrote out an extensive history for the continent of Fódlan from the beginning and containing "probably a good ten-thousand years' worth of material" just to use as reference materials for development. However, he has stated that he would not release it, and expected more inquisitive players to analyze the story and fill in the holes themselves as the developers gradually forget the material over time.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
1
There's unused annoucer files calling "P5 Hero" and "Persona 5 Hero" suggesting that the protagonist of Persona 5 was at some point planned to be in the roster
Final Fantasy VII
1
A hidden programmer message is hidden in the files of Disk 3, stating:

"great special thanx to you, ARIKO...from your husband, HIDEJI".
Pokémon Scarlet
subdirectory_arrow_right Pokémon Violet (Game)
1
The Pokémon Toedscool and Toedscruel (divergent evolutions of Tentacool and Tentacruel) are called "OKAKINGU" and "OKAGYARADOSU" in the game's data respectively. This is interesting as these names seem to instead reference the names of Magikarp, called "Koiking" in Japan, and its evolution Gyarados respectively, meaning that the games were originally going to feature a pair of divergent evolutions for the Gyarados family instead of the Tentacruel family. However, there is no other data in the games but names for these scrapped Pokémon.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
1
Attachment An early title screen in the game data suggests the game's original title was "Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Universe". For unknown reasons, the "Universe" part was dropped.

X-Men vs. Street Fighter
1
The Japanese version features pre-battle dialogue between Apocalypse and every single playable character. These intro dialogues were not translated and instead they were removed from the international versions of the game.
Twisted Metal: Black
1
An unusual dummy file can be found in the game files, in the form of a humorous text file which states:

"Move along, nothing to see here...."
Persona 5
1
Originally, the cutscene that plays after Spoiler:the Phantom Thieves believe Ryuji to be dead after the destruction of Shindo's palace was going to feature extra lines of dialogue not present in the final game, as well as a dialogue tree for Joker, the player's character. Additionally, there are unused animations in the game's files Spoiler:showing the Phantom Thieves beating up Ryuji. In the final game, the scene cuts to black.
Deltarune
1
The DogDollar that Kris obtains from the Annoying Dog's alleyway in Cyber City contains unused dialogue for if the player attempts to use it, reading "(Where'd this come from?)". In normal gameplay, the DogDollar can't be selected like a typical item, making this text impossible to see without hacking.
WWE 2K22
1
Attachment In the files of WWE 2K22 can be found base dialogue and social media interactions for a scrapped female MyRISE storyline that would have seen Bray Wyatt possess Dana Brooke and turning her into “The Shiend”, to get revenge on his former associate Alexa Bliss. The storyline would have included a Hell In a Cell match between Alexa Bliss and "The Shiend", and a "Elimination Chamber of Horrors" match. A "Firefly Funhouse set" area can also be found in the game's files that would have presumably been used in some of this story's cutscenes.

This storyline was ultimately scrapped as Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) was released from WWE on July 31st, 2021 due to "budget cuts".
Tornado Outbreak
1
Attachment An unused audio clip from the level Showdown with Omegaton suggests that Nimbus was originally going to tell Zephyr to pummel Omegaton's gigantic kidneys.
