Attachment When asked about Bubsy's height and weight for an episode of the Death Battle-esque YouTube series Limit Break featuring him fighting Gex, creator Michael Berlyn said that Bubsy is 3'6'' (42 inches) and 80 lbs, making his height closest to the length (or height if they were to be bipedal like Bubsy) of an Eastern or Mexican bobcat, but significantly heavier than any real-world species of bobcat.

In the English dub of the Ace Attorney anime, the character Furio Tigre is voiced by Sam Riegel, the English voice of series protagonist Phoenix Wright starting with his appearance in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (with the exception of Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, where Phoenix was instead voiced by Trevor White). Based on a tweet from Kyle Phillips, the voice director for the dub, this appears to be intentional, as the case Tigre was involved in, "Recipe for Turnabout", involved him Spoiler:posing as Phoenix in a plot to frame Maggey Byrde for murder.
MyPopgoes
2
MyPopgoes was originally not considered part of the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative, as creator Kane Carter's initial contract regarding the Popgoes games only included Popgoes Evergreen and Popgoes Arcade. However, on February 1, 2024, he revealed that he and Scott Cawthon had worked on an amendment to said contract, which had recently been signed and executed. This meant that the game could receive an official Steam page, and that development of the game's premium version could continue until completion.

Star Fox: Assault
2
Attachment According to Takaya Imamura in a 2004 Nintendo Dream interview regarding Star Fox: Assault, the decision to make Krystal a main Star Fox team member came from Nintendo themselves, following from how it was their decision to keep and also redesign Krystal in the transition from Dinosaur Planet to Star Fox Adventures. Imamura states that there was a bit of arguing over Krystal's personality amongst the development team, with one camp wanting her to occupy a motherly role, and another wanting her to be more like a big sister.

Imamura also said that the decision to keep Krystal around was at least partially because he wanted players to see the characters grow and evolve over the course of the games, and thus there was a desire to acknowledge Star Fox Adventures, Krystal's debut game.

Dan Slott, a comic book writer best known for his work on Marvel Comics such as "The Amazing Spider-Man", "Fantastic Four", and "Silver Surfer", wrote for two issues of Archie's "Sonic Super Special" series as part of its "Zone Wars" storyline. Despite these being his only works for the comic, he did make one notable contribution: Zonic the Zone Cop, an alternate reality version of Sonic who monitored all realities in order to maintain balance across the various Zones, though allowing other people to appear in other Zones when they are needed. In November 2022, in response to various fan questions about Zonic, Slott noted that he was willing to collaborate with Sega to bring him back, and had no protective hang-ups over the character unlike an unspecified Sonic creator who was "super protective of all the characters he's created over the years to the point where SEGA doesn't want to use ANY of them in other media" (likely referring to legal issues surrounding former writer Ken Penders).

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations
2
During the game's first case "Turnabout Memories", defense attorney Marvin Grossberg makes several references to his hemorrhoids acting up, with one being that they are "doing the Harlem Shake". While the English localization of the game wrote in several pop culture references and memes that were popular at the time of its release in 2007, this reference to the Harlem Shake was not a reference to the 2013 viral dance since it did not exist yet, but was actually a reference to the pre-existing Harlem Shake dance that first originated in New York City in 1981. However, according to the official Ace Attorney series timeline, Trials and Tribulations takes place in 2019, and in the events of that game, the Turnabout Memories case takes place five years beforehand in 2014, which is coincidentally one year after the Harlem Shake meme went viral. This makes it plausible for unaware players to assume that Grossberg is referencing the viral dance in the time when it was relevant, unintentionally predicting the meme's popularity and ostensibly inflating the number of meme references in the English script.

Alternatively, the German translation of the game instead has Grossberg say his hemorrhoids are doing "den Ententanz", also known as the Chicken Dance, another fad dance originating from Switzerland in the 1950's.

Just Dance 2023 Edition introduces a character named Agent D during the game's version of "Toxic" by Britney Spears, which had previously appeared in Just Dance 2 with a different routine. Initially, she appears as an air hostess before revealing her true nature as a secret agent, battling a group of rival spies in order to save the plane's pilot, the P2 character from the song "Dragostea Din Tei" by O-Zone (who is later revealed to be her partner and possible love interest).

Just Dance 2024 Edition would expand upon her considerably via her appearance in another Britney Spears song, "Gimme More". Primarily set in her base of operations, it's revealed that Agent D had actually appeared in several past Britney Spears songs wearing disguises, specifically "Work Work" (the site manager), the original version of "Toxic" (the nurse), and the Extreme Mode version of "Circus" (the performer). Additionally, the background screens shown during the song display gameplay of other songs by Britney Spears (specifically "Womanizer", "Baby One More Time", "Oops!... I Did It Again", and "Scream & Shout"), though her roles in these songs are left unrevealed. This retroactively retcons the series so that Agent D has appeared as early as Just Dance 2. Additionally, the song ends with the pilot (who had appeared throughout the various missions, constantly needing help from Agent D) pressing a button on the monitor, leading to her next mission (presumably the 2023 version of "Toxic").

Currently, the only Britney Spears songs that have been featured in the Just Dance series that are not confirmed to involve Agent D are "Slumber Party" and "Till The World Ends". Additionally, it was revealed in an Instagram post that Agent D had also appeared in the standard version of "Circus", disguised as the feline tamer.

Star Fox Command
2
In the "The Worm" mission on Titania in the Fox and Krystal story route, Krystal goes more in-depth about Andross' plans to terraform Venom.

KRYSTAL: After Andross fought you, he dedicated his remaining days to planet Venom. He wanted to leave some sort of legacy. That's all.

Peppy Hare has a similar line in the "Andross' Legacy" mission, also on Titania during the Goodbye Fox story route.

PEPPY: Well, after our last battle with Andross, he started thinking. He put together a plan to terraform the whole environment. He wanted to make Venom a more hospitable place to live.

These both seem to bizarrely imply that even after being destroyed by the end of Star Fox 64, Andross was somehow still physically alive somewhere on Venom, which is where he began to plan out terraforming Venom into a beautiful green world.

Re-translating the Japanese text for both of these, however, reveals:

KRYSTAL: 彼はあなた達に復讐した後 後世に新しいベノムの創造主として名前を残したかったのよ (He wanted to take revenge on you and leave his name as the creator of the new Venom for posterity.)

PEPPY: かつてアンドルフは我々との戦いの後 ベノムを住みやすい環境に変える計画を立てていたんじゃ (Andorf once had a plan to turn Venom into a livable environment after the war with us.)"

Which makes it much more clear that what Krystal and Peppy had intended to say was that Andross (or Andorf as he's called in Japan) had always intended on terraforming Venom for posterity after he had enacted revenge against General Pepper and Corneria for banishing him there. One could say it was essentially Andross' retirement plan.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

In 2023, the Japanese noodle brand Cup Noodle used footage from the beginning of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain with Konami's permission to advertise their premium seafood cup noodles. The commercial features a scene where Big Boss Spoiler:(actually Venom Snake in disguise) wakes up from a coma and a doctor tells him how long he was out, with the dialogue changed to have the doctor inform Big Boss that while the seafood flavored cup noodles feature no shrimp, the new premium sea food flavor does have shrimp. This scene in general is a meme in the Japanese-speaking Internet, hence why it was used.
Flicky
2
A lot of imagery in Flicky is intended metaphorically, such as the bicycle and balloons on the opening titles representing the dreams of the chicks, and the space level representing the future that Flicky attempts to prevent the cat and lizard from taking away from the chicks. In addition, the choice to make Flicky a sparrow, but have the hatchlings she protects be chickens, was a representation of how non-parents can experience maternal instincts when seeing children in danger.

Club Penguin
2
Chris Hendricks, a former artist and composer for Club Penguin, was originally against the inclusion of the game's main villain Herbert P. Bear, as he felt that Club Penguin was a game that was meant to be "safe and fun" and thus didn't need a villain. However, during development of the PSA missions, it became apparent that it was becoming difficult to put obstacles in the player's way without some sort of villain behind it. The team member who first pitched the idea of adding a villain to the game initially came up with the idea of there being three polar bears: a boss bear, a skinny vegetarian henchman bear, and a big stupid bear who would lift heavy objects and be endearing and lovable. Some staff, however, felt that this was too many bears, and eventually reached a compromise: take all the best attributes of the three bears, combine them into one bear, and give him a lovable sidekick.

Chris, however, was still concerned about the idea of adding a villain, so to both build up mystery and try to appease him, the story was developed so that the villain wouldn't be revealed until the fifth mission: in the third mission, the only evidence of the villain was white fur. This gave them a potential escape route in case players didn't want a villain in the game, as they could have the fourth mission reveal that the whole thing was a misunderstanding and that a white puffle (which hadn't debuted at that point) was to blame. As it would turn out, fans loved the idea of a villain, so the fourth mission would give a shadowy teaser of the villain, before the full reveal of Herbert P. Bear in the fifth mission. Chris would later admit that he was wrong to not want a villain in the game, as Herbert became one of his favorite characters, and lead to the introduction of other memorable villains (i.e. Tusk and Ultimate Proto-Bot 10000) as well.

Attachment In the original Star Fox on SNES, Venom was said to be a beautiful, green planet in the vein of Corneria before Andross, after being banished by Corneria due to his dangerous experiments, invaded and ruined it, transforming it into a dark, polluted world of military machines, all while enslaving its inhabitants who he drafted into his new army. Star Fox 2's Venom stage on Expert mode would actually depict Venom in its lush green state again, indicating that it was being terraformed back into its original state.

Star Fox 64 would essentially retcon all of this, and claim that Venom was already a desolate wasteland to begin with, which is the entire reason General Pepper banished Andross there after the latter nearly destroyed Corneria with his weapons. That being said, Star Fox Command would later reveal that during his banishment on Venom, Andross had actually created a terraforming device that he planned on using upon Venom as a means to transform it into a beautiful green world similar to Corneria, for prosperity and to also give his heirs and descendants a home to live happily in. This is essentially an inverse of his original SNES backstory, where he's now trying to save Venom and turn it into a hospitable world, as opposed to invading and transforming it into a polluted wasteland.

Throughout the second part of Lostbelt 6, Avalon La Fae, the player is met with several unskippable dialogue options. Special dialogue options can be unlocked by selecting the following options:

• Section 11-6: Spoiler:"...(Does that mean Altria's and Oberon's eyes are-)"
• Section 12-1: Spoiler:"(Even from so early on...?)"
• Section 13-1: Spoiler:"Come to think of it, you never did tell us about your summoning, Oberon."
• Section 16-5: Spoiler:"...(There's something I should double-check with Oberon...)" Choosing this option also reveals an extended sequence where Oberon reveals he hired Koyanskya to take care of Morgan's reinforcements during the siege of Londinium.
• Section 20-4: Spoiler:"...(But, if I do that...)"
• Section 23-4: Spoiler:"...Maybe it's because she can tell when someone is lying?"
• Section 23-6: Spoiler:"Even though you said it doesn't exist here?"

By selecting these options when prompted, special red dialogue options appear after beating Spoiler:Cernunos and Spoiler:Grimr The Sage declares himself the only Servant summoned from Proper Human History. These red dialogue options reveal that the player figured out Oberon was tricking them into playing along with his scheme, and that he was lying about his motives and goals the entire time.

Attachment In Japan, Pigma Dengar's name is ピグマ・デンガー (Piguma Dengā).

His surname seems to come from the Kansai expression, デンガナマンガナー (Denganamanganā). In the Japanese version of Star Fox games, Pigma tends to speak in Kansai dialect like people from Osaka. In Japan, people from this region are characterized as rude, bad-mannered, and even criminal lowlifes, very befitting of Pigma.

It is worth pointing out, however, that this is considered an offensive stereotype of Kansai people, and they do not enjoy being characterized this way in Japanese media.

When Science Papa was announced by Activision, many journalists believed the game was trying to cash in on the success of Cooking Mama. When asked for a comment by Kotaku, Mama series publisher Majesco wrote an allegation writen in-character by Mama, stating Science Papa to be her ex-boyfriend:

"So you want some dirt on "Science Papa" to splash on your site? I'll shovel it. We dated briefly (when he had much better hair). Attachment When asked about the canonicity of Star Fox Command in relation to its predecessors (those in particular being Star Fox 64, Star Fox Adventures and Star Fox: Assault) in a Reddit AMA, Dylan Cuthbert had this to say:

Canon is something the fans like to try to follow but Command was meant to be an alternate timeline kind of game, hence the choices you make. It let us have a lot more fun with the characters.

In turn, many within the Star Fox fandom figured that he was implying that the game itself was not canon to the previous installments. However, years later, Cuthbert would clarify on what he really meant by Command being an "alternate timeline kind of game":

Each play through is an alternate reality, play through multiple times until you get the reality /you/ want. In this sense none of them are canon and they are just a few possible realities based on your subjective experience and choices.

In reality, it seems what Cuthbert really meant was that each playthrough and story path is meant to represent an alternate timeline, not that Command itself was in a separate timeline from 64, Adventures, and Assault. Nintendo Dream's guidebook for Star Fox 64 3D from 2011 would actually include an entire chronological timeline of the series up to that point, beginning with Star Fox 64 and ending with Star Fox Command.

Essentially, all of the game's branching story paths are canon and non-canon at the same time, as there's said to be no true ending as it's up to the players to decide how Command, and perhaps the entire series' chronology as it truly began in 1997, ends. A 2011 Nintendo Dream magazine interview with Dylan Cuthbert, as well as Takaya Imamura, would reiterate this sentiment.

Which of the endings in "Command" is considered the canonical one?

Imamura: I think that's going to be up to each person who plays through the game.

Dylan: But the ending picture you drew, Imamura, had an impact. Like the one with Fox crying (laughs).

I definitely figured that was Imamura-san's work. That means that whenever you make the next game, I assume that one of these endings will end up being canon.

Dylan: I'm pretty sure that one will be picked when that time comes.

Fox's son, Marcus, could also potentially be the main character in that case?

Imamura: Yeah. But really, part of me does want to end Fox's part of the story with "Command." So, going forward, if we made a sequel it might be set between "64" and "Adventures," or maybe even a prequel to "64." With "Command," there's no "this is it, it's over" moment, which I think makes for a better video game experience.
