Attachment Rolento's Super Combo "Take No Prisoners" can be blocked by every fighter in the game except for Cody, because he is a prisoner and is being sought out by Rolento in the game's plot.

The development of the first Donkey Kong game was outsourced by Nintendo to Ikegami Tsushinki, a company who is believed but not confirmed to have previously worked with Nintendo on several of their early ventures into arcade games. They produced and sold to Nintendo somewhere between 8,000 and 20,000 printed circuit boards for Donkey Kong, and it is believed that Nintendo went on to copy an additional 80,000 boards from this batch without Ikegami's permission. Despite the sale, because no formal contract was known to have been signed between the two companies, Ikegami owned the source code to Donkey Kong as they had created it, and never sent it over to Nintendo.

In order to create a sequel on the coattails of the success of the first game, Nintendo employed subcontractor Iwasaki Giken to reverse-engineer Donkey Kong so Nintendo’s staff could develop the game's sequel, Donkey Kong Jr. Should this narrative be verifiably true, this would make Donkey Kong Jr. Nintendo's first "in-house" video game created by themselves without any assistance from outside development companies. Ikegami viewed this use of the source code as blatant copyright infringement, and sued Nintendo in 1983 for ¥580,000,000 (around $91,935,800). A trial in 1990 ruled that Nintendo did not own the source code to the original Donkey Kong, and the parties settled out of court the same year for an undisclosed amount.
Gears of War

The game's antagonist General RAAM was a last-minute addition to the game, and due to time constraints and looming production deadlines, his backstory and related context in Act 5 were not included in the original Xbox 360 release of Gears of War, but would be included in all of its future releases.

RAAM was also named after the owner of a local Indian restaurant that Epic Games' staff frequented during development.
Jade Cocoon: Story of the Tamamayu
1
In the Beetle Forest during the capture training tutorial with Koris, the Blue Cocoon Master, the player will normally receive an Arpatron as their starter minion. However, if a PocketStation is plugged into Memory Card Slot 1, the exclusive starter minion called Vatolka will be caught instead.

The element of the Vatolka is determined by finding the unique ID provided by the PocketStation's serial number represented by "XXYYYYYY" (with "XX" referring to the hexadecimal ASCII value of the PocketStation's letter on the serial number, and "YYYYYY" referring to the result when converting the numbers on the serial number from decimal to hexadecimal), then performing modulo 4 on it. Based on that result, your Vatolka's element can turn out to be either Fire with a 0, Air with a 1, Earth with a 2, or Water with a 3.

Through the use of transferring saves between the ePSXe and Xebra/Arbex emulators, it is possible to have captured both Vatolka and Arpatron in the same save file. Furthermore, they count as having captured two different minions, despite them sharing the same in-game slot in the Minion List.
Twisted Metal 2

Attachment In the Paris level, the Mona Lisa painting can be burned with napalm to reveal a cheat code hidden underneath: Up/Down/L1/R1. This four-button code is meant to unlock Cyburbia, a level from the first Twisted Metal game, as one of three secret stages for the 2 Player Challenge Match mode by entering it on the level select screen. However, entering this code does nothing, because the code found in the Paris level has a typo: the Up and Down buttons are accidentally switched, so the correct code is actually: Down/Up/L1/R1.

The game faced controversy around its release, as it was reported that Ubisoft initially recalled copies of the game in the UK due to a line that was considered offensive. Ubisoft refuted this however, stating the title wasn't being recalled. The game was later re-released in the UK with a PEGI 12 rating.

Attachment Like the Toy Time Galaxy theme in the first game (of which it is a remix), the Supermassive Galaxy theme may be based on "Mario Syndrome", an alternative dance remix of the Super Mario Bros. overworld theme by Japanese act Bonus 21 that was released as a 12" and cassette single in 1986. The Supermassive Galaxy theme features similar instrumentation and compositional choices as "Mario Syndrome", though foregoes the 1986 song's dance elements.

Strider

Attachment In the game's third stage Flying Battleship Balrog, in the upper-leftmost corner of the first room inside the ship are two stacks of artillery shells. Destroying the shells will reveal a panda that dances briefly before disappearing. According to Strider's designer and director Kouichi Yotsui, this easter egg was snuck in without his knowledge as a joke, and the person who did this later became the wife of Mega Man character designer and later series producer Keiji Inafune.

If the protagonist has not entered Tartarus once within the first 10 days, upon returning to the Iwatodai Dormitory that evening, Mitsuru will confront and scold him/her for slacking off and forcibly bring him/her to Tartarus just before the first Full Moon Operation. She will also stop the protagonist from leaving until S.E.E.S has started exploring Block 1 of the tower.
Beyond Good & Evil

Attachment In Jade's bedroom, a nearby radio presents announcements including one that promotes a Hillyan News website. To help promote the game around its release in 2003, Ubisoft launched an official Hillyan News website full of short articles and blurbs pertaining to the planet of Hillys and the in-game universe, presumably published weekly between October 2 and December 1, 2003. The website is no longer hosted by Ubisoft, but can be found on the Internet Archive.
Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing

The maximum speed the trucks cap off at when driving in reverse amounts to 12.3 undecillion miles per hour (for perspective, this number is 1.8341329e+28 times the speed of light), because no upper limit was implemented by the developers to cap off the speed for driving in reverse at a more realistic limit. After this speed is reached, the speedometer displays a value of -001.$ and causes you to win the race despite having driven in reverse practically infinitely. This is because as a truck travels faster in reverse, it will gradually travel along more of the surface area of the race track until it covers every pixel on the map simultaneously including all of the race track's checkpoints, meaning that the truck won the race because it was everywhere at once.

In May 2020, a Japanese livestreamer began a lengthy series using his two pet Siamese fighting fish to play through Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire using a system involving several programs connected to the game's emulator. These programs rely on a webcam to track the fish's movements and determine what actions to perform by where it swims over a map placed behind the fish tank, so wherever the fish swims, it blocks a map square with a picture of a controller input on it and the system performs said input in-game.

On October 3, 2020, during a stream playing through Pokemon Sapphire, one of the fish named Mutekimaru was working on a boulder puzzle in the Seafloor Cavern on Route 128 when it performed a glitch that appeared to have not been widely known in the past. The fish used Strength on a boulder, which moved it and additionally created a duplicate boulder in its place, soft-locking the puzzle until the room is reset. The streamer later figured out how to trigger the glitch himself, and uploaded a step-by-step guide to YouTube on how to perform it.
Grand Theft Auto

In an interview with DMA Design creative director Gary Penn in 2011, he revealed that the police in the game turned out the way they did because of a supposed bug where police cars in pursuit tried to ram through the center of the player's car rather than a specific side, causing their driving to become extremely aggressive and seemingly insane. Penn cited this as the point in Grand Theft Auto's development where it stopped being boring to the developers and became more "dramatic", and they started to focus on general play and "being able to piss around" more than the game's missions.

Attachment In the Broken Steel DLC, in the cutscene used for when the player character travels on the Presidential metro, the moving train is not a separate entity programmed to move on its own due to limitations with the Gamebryo engine. Instead, when the player goes on the metro, a script is triggered that equips an NPC underneath the train with a glove that turns its right hand invisible and produces the model for the Presidential metro car on top of it appearing like a giant hat. This then triggers an animation of the NPC's model sitting down and gliding along the ground in an arc that simulates the metro riding along the subway tracks.

Rivet City's Abraham Washington is the name of this NPC and is a reference to two former United States Presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

Attachment At the start of the game, Brandi Broke is pregnant with her third child and the last conceived with her late husband Skip. However, due to Skip's genetic file being unlinked, the baby will take Brandi's genetics, and will always be male, essentially always making him an opposite sex clone of his mother. Linking Skip so that he is properly linked before the baby is born will result in the baby being born with the genetics of Brandi and Skip, and the chance of it being female.

There is an error with her memories in that she gave birth to their second child Beau after Skip died, yet her third child is recognized by the game as his. Since Brandi could not have gotten pregnant with the third child when she was already pregnant with Beau, Skip could not be the father unless he somehow impregnated her post-mortem. This, however, contradicts a picture in the family album that shows Brandi about to give birth to Beau with both Skip and their first child Dustin present.

During the 7th episode of the EA Community Team Cast from April 25, 2019, series executive producer and general manager Lyndsay Pearson claimed that the memory contradictions were an oversight, and that the "cloning" technique was used because the data for Brandi's pregnancy kept getting lost.
No More Heroes

The mini-fridge in Travis' room at Motel "NO MORE HEROES" can be used to heal him, even though it's impossible to lose health outside of ranking matches and assassination gigs and Travis' health is always restored after completing or failing a gig. Both the game and its instruction manual still point out this feature regardless. This suggests that there were either plans for enemies to appear in the overworld of Santa Destroy that could harm Travis outside of his missions, or it was implemented purely for creative effect.
Shrek

In the "Extra Large" re-release of the game for the Nintendo GameCube, if you manage to get out of bounds and fall into the void, Shrek will be teleported to a dimly-lit area that is an exact replica of the inside of a Nintendo GameCube. Once inside, all cheats become disabled, and the player cannot escape. Even the pause menu is disabled, meaning the game is soft-locked and the only solution is to reset the GameCube.
Resident Evil Zero

The first boss in the game, the Stinger, has a simple way to be skipped entirely. To do this, the player must run up to the Stinger and drop an item in front of it, then turn around and wait for the boss to lunge at them. If the player picks up the item they just dropped at the right time, they’ll become invulnerable, and the scorpion’s attack will go straight through them. The player can then back out of the menu and simply run past the Stinger to safety.
