A Trainer at the ONBS Station has lost their Bonsly. It appears at the S.S. Libra but runs away on being approached. Returning Bonsly to its Trainer gains the reward of the Bonsly Bingo Sheet. Makoto Wada has said that Mario's appearance as the game's referee was never intended by the rest of the development team. There is a parasitic fungus called Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, which is known for taking over an ant's mind and controlling its motor skills, basically making it a zombie. In The Last of Us, a fungus takes over most of humanity's minds, and turns them into zombies.
