Shrek SuperSlam
subdirectory_arrow_right Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix (Game)
1
The PlayStation 2 version of Shrek SuperSlam contains the first 885 MB disc image for the PlayStation Portable port of Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix as a dummy file. Oddly, this copy of the game is dated to two days after its original retail release in North America, suggesting that there may have been plans for a cancelled re-release of the game.

The game features an unused sixth hidden tape called "Herd of Mouth with Wooly the Sheep" that can only be accessed by exploiting the game. However, the tape is entirely comprised of Wooly sitting at a table while occasionally making minor gestures for ten minutes, suggesting that the tape was added purely to mess with exploiters.

Attachment In 2016, a post was uploaded to Tumblr responding to a post claiming that "there is nothing wrong with Yoshi" by jokingly accusing Yoshi of committing tax fraud, which would become a running gag within Nintendo fan circles, and eventually a meme in 2018 with the bait-and-switch YouTube account SiIvaGunner posting soundtracks from a fake Yoshi Commits Tax Fraud game.

It would be discovered after the meme's peak of popularity that in 2011's Fortune Street, Yoshi is the only character in the game who asks to be exempt from paying taxes when a tax office is built. This means that while Yoshi is not guilty of committing tax fraud, he does attempt to commit tax evasion.

In October 2019, the Nintendo Versus eSports account posted a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate highlight tournament featuring Yoshi, and titled it "This Yoshi is no fraud", seemingly in reference to the meme.

The meme of Yoshi evading his taxes would also inspire the Turnip Boy series of games.

Collection: Bendy
1
Early on, the Bendy devs worked with a firm that was described as "overzealous" in removing fan content. However, TheMeatly revealed in 2023 that this was no longer the case, and that as long as the game was marked as unofficial and wasn't attempted to be sold, he was okay with fangames based on Bendy being made. In response to this, Game Jolt added a "Fangames" section to their Bendy series page.

The Glass Staircase
1
This game is intended to be an homage to Italian zombie horror movies such as "The Beyond", "House by the Cemetery", and "Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror". Similarly, the gameplay was inspired by the 2002 Resident Evil remake and Rule of Rose.
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp
1
This game was delayed twice prior to its release. Initially, it was delayed to April 8, 2022 from its initial release date of December 3, 2021. However, on March 9, 2022, the game was delayed again indefinitely in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Despite this, a mistake on Nintendo's part lead to one player who pre-installed the game to her Nintendo Switch being able to play it in a completed state on April 8. Six days later, Nintendo issued a refund to this player and revoked access to the game. Eventually, the game would finally be released on April 21, 2023.

The song "deltaMax" was originally written by DM Ashura for DDR Forever, a StepMania-based fan game for the Dance Dance Revolution series.

The song's inclusion in Universe 3 marks the first time a BEMANI original song originated from one of these BEMANI simulators.

Challenge Charts were included when the song was added to Dance Dance Revolution X2. These charts were created by DM Ashura himself and originally intended to be used in the Expert difficulty.

Super Mario 64 DS
1
According to former Nintendo employee Motoi Okamoto, around the time of this game's development, Shigeru Miyamoto would begin 6-hour-long nighttime crunch sessions during the development of Super Mario 64 DS by exclaiming "It's Mario time.":

"In those days, Miyamoto would come to us at 11 PM, after he finished all of his board-member work, and say, "It's Mario time." At that point, we'd start a planning meeting that would run until 2 AM. At that point, Miyamoto would go home, leaving us with the words, "You should return home soon, for your health." Over the next two or three hours, we'd write the game design documents and summarize the instructions for our artists and programmers.
It was the craziest crunch time that I've ever experienced in my development career. But if the God of Games was working so much, could we give up? Miyamoto had incredible stamina."
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
1
Attachment Upon the release of Rilla Roo as a DLC character in Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, the model of the character was heavily criticized for how far it strayed from his original model in Crash Bash, particularly the presence of a large beard and chin on his face, with many fans editing mockups of a more faithful Rilla Roo. In the game's final DLC update, a "fixed" version of Rilla Roo would be provided - however, rather than serving as a skin for, or replacing the original, Rilla Roo, this new Rilla Roo would be made a separate character titled "Fixed Rilla Roo", with his own animations and exotic skins. His victory podium animation has him stop to check his face, and then sigh in relief as a meta-joke.

BeatStream
1
eAMUSEMENT support for the BeatStream series ended on September 1st, 2017, with conversion kits for ノスタルジア (NOSTALGIA) offered in March the same year. However, unlike other discontinued BEMANI games, no offline patch was ever created, which is necessary for the game to be playable without an eAMUSEMENT connection.

This renders BeatStream completely unplayable in any official capacity.

Sonic Superstars
1
As Takashi Iizuka and Naoto Ohshima were discussing the game's story, they felt they needed to introduce a new character with their own background and unique characteristics that would make them someone people could empathize with and enjoy. The character being able to fit in with the setting was of particular importance, as Iizuka recognized that previous games had a tendency to introduce new enemy characters that were very prominent and that had immediately recognizable strength/power (i.e. Infinite from Sonic Forces). For the new character, who would eventually become Trip the Sungazer, they wanted to introduce her as initially clumsy to make players question why she is supposed to be a powerful enemy.

Dance Dance Revolution Supernova
subdirectory_arrow_right Dance Dance Revolution X (Game)
1
In Dance Dance Revolution Supernova, the song "Healing-D-Vision" erroneously uses 8th and 16th note steps throughout the song, despite the song itself utilizing a triplet (12th note) beat. This is especially noticeable in the first half of the song.

This mistake was fixed in Dance Dance Revolution X.
