One of the biggest costs for maintaining the game was moderating the game's community by making sure that there were no obscene Lego models created by players. This meant that every single player created in-game Lego model had to be looked at and catalogued to make sure that it was age appropriate, I.E. no penises. This was to help make sure that the Lego brand remained family friendly.

One developer was almost fired when his in-game built Lego penis was discovered by a child tester during a "kid test".

Attachment As a backer reward for the game's Kickstarter, backers had the option to provide a message to appear in-game on a memorial stone. One of the in-game memorial stones in the final version of the game had its message later changed due to it being considered by many as a hateful, transphobic joke.

A number of people were against the change, but Obsidian decided to have the messaged altered. The original message by the backer read:

"Firedorn Lightbringer
Here lies Firedorn, a hero in bed.
He once was alive, but now he's dead.
The last woman he bedded, turned out a man.
And crying in shame, off a cliff he ran.
"

After receiving numerous complaints from gamers about the quote, CEO of Obsidian, Feargus Urquhart, chose to change it and together with the backer who created it, decided on a new message.

"Here lies Firedorn, a bard, a poet
He was also a card, but most didn't know it
A poem he wrote in jest was misread
They asked for blood, so now he's just dead.
"

In the international release, this scene was changed to have Anna simply walk away with the men while Nina is left on her own sunbathing, due to the original scene being considered inappropriate.

Similar scenes of nudity in the series include Tekken 2, where Anna's ending features a scene of her covering her breast while taking a shower, and in Tekken 5, where Anna's ending had Nina's body armor become dismantled, exposing her body.

Two old women could be found in the hot spring of Lavaridge Town in the original release of Pokémon Ruby & Pokémon Sapphire. They were removed in the Nintendo 3DS remakes, possibly because of the lewd nature of the scene. In Japan, it is common for people to bathe naked in hot springs, called "onsen", split by gender. In the original games' release, the male trainer was able to bathe with the old women, while an old man is also seen looking over the spring.
