In non-American versions of the game, during the cut-scene after the fight with Castor and Pollux, the camera is moved higher up to censor the gore.

Some reviewers issued complaints regarding the title for one of the game's trophies, named "Bros before Hos", which is received after graphically face-stomping a female villain. In response to the criticisms of misogyny, Santa Monica released a patch changing the name of the trophy to "Bros before Foes".

Just before the Cistern in Chapter 14, there is a painting with a message in front of it. Within the message is the code, "QUJIKPHIUEEEKMJQUJ", which translates to "Sun Bird Bull Lion Sun". By walking over the symbols on the ground in the same area in the order given and pressing R1 (regardless of no prompt being shown), and then returning to the painting, it will change to a picture of Earth, and the message will instead read, "When the Earth stops, the journey begins..."
