At the shrine, there is a scroll containing a poem hinting at how to do so. Spoiler:The player must equip Tadayori's armor and activate focus hearing to reveal 3 targets along the shrines statue: one above it's head, another on its hand, and the last on the head of a demon that the statue is standing on. Once completed, the corruption wrapped around the statue falls away and the player receives said armor

The corruption wrapped around the statue is a reference to all the corruption tainting the land and machines in Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West.

Attachment Located on a peninsula tip Northwest of the Isle of Spires boat launch is a small mat for the player to sit on and a note to read. When interacted with, Aloy sits down and recites a poem from the note:

"Here, we remember our friend, with a view as calming as his voice, on stone as strong as his spirit.

He was not just our rock, he was our oak, sturdy and stoic, whose presence brought us comfort and whose branches touched us all.

Rest in peace."

This is both a tribute to the late producer of the original Horizon Zero Dawn game, Patrick Munnik, and is also a reference to Ghost of Tsushima where players can frequently find small tatami mats to sit on and make haikus for a reward.

In the same area, there is a small unkillable fox creature called an "Inari" that will lead you up to this shrine if you follow it. These are both references to Ghost of Tsushima in which you are frequently guided by Inari foxes to Inari Shrines for a reward.

At the shrine, there is a scroll containing a poem hinting at how to do so. Spoiler:The player must take damage in front of the shrine before equipping the Kensei armor and healing themselves, this will unlock the Yharnem armor.

At the base of the shrine there is also a painting of a giant red circle with black birds flying in front of it. This is a reference to the giant blood moon featured throughout Bloodborne.

Not only are their names and designs similar, but Zodick attacks by rolling around the arena similar to Sonic's Spin Dash move, references Sonic's iconic finger wave pose, and drops rings whenever he is damaged. On top of that, defeating him reveals that he's actually a robot, with one of the scientists controlling him being voiced by then-Sonic voice actor Ryan Drummond.
