Interplay wanted to replace all the music in the Genesis and SNES versions with new original tracks. Eric Chahi, the game's designer, requested to at least keep the original intro music to help retain the atmosphere but Interplay wouldn't agree. To express his frustration, Chahi sent them an endless fax with the message "keep the original intro music" in big letters with the ends of the paper taped together to form a loop. Interplay did reconsider however when Delphine posed legal action.
Final Fantasy VI

According to an interview with Nobuo Uematsu, the composer of most Final Fantasy games, the music from Final Fantasy VI was Uematsu's favorite score. Final Fantasy VI was also Uematsu's favorite game to play.

There is a 30% chance the painting will have changed, in addition to there being some creepy music heard from a nearby CD player and lit candles being on the table. The patch also added two plaques in the vault that have the names of the people who helped find the secret.

The Islamic chant first heard in Cruis'n World and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, was used in the music track "Love/Hate Chant" which serves as the theme for the character Asad. The track had soon after caused controversy, prompting the game to be subsequently pulled from store shelves. The chant comes from a sound library collection called "Voice Spectral - Volume 1" released by 'best service'.
In the Groove

Normally, pulling out the controller during game-play will pause the game and display a message reading "The controller in controller port (number) has been removed."

However, doing this during the song "Disconnected", or its remixes, changes the text to read "The controller in controller port (number) has been disconnected." to fit the song's title.
Cruis'n World

Attachment The stock sound effect of an Islamic chant which sparked controversy for being used in the original Fire Temple theme from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and in the soundtrack to Kakuto Chojin: Back Alley Brutal was first used in the music track 'Cairo Cruis'n' for the Egypt race track in the Nintendo 64 version of Cruis'n World. Attachment Bayonetta's Lt. Col. Kilgore weapons are a reference to the character of the same name from the movie Apocalypse Now. Bayonetta's alternate costume for the weapon is designed after Kilgore's appearance in the movie matching his hat, sunglasses, and yellow scarf.

The song that is played for the Lt Col Kilgore Golden LP is Flight of the Valkyries, which was also played during a battle scene in Apocalypse Now.

The console version of Tekken Tag Tournament is very different from the arcade version.

The arcade version was simply an upgrade kit for Tekken 3 and ran on the same 32 bit engine, utilizing the same graphics. However, when ported to the PlayStation 2, it received a huge upgrade to the graphics along with upgraded music tracks, additional stages and music to go with them.

The 2 versions play similarly, although there are some noticeable differences in gameplay, such as some attacks being more efficient in the arcade version and vice versa.

According to someone on the Team Fortress 2 development team, the song that was going to be playing in the Pyro's mind in the video, "Meet The Pyro," was originally going to be Tiny Tim's "Livin' in the Sunlight, Lovin' in the Moonlight." For one reason or another, the song was not used and was instead replaced with "Do You Believe in Magic" by The Lovin' Spoonful.
