Secret of Evermore
1
The soundtrack was composed by Jeremy Soule. While in Highschool, he played a lot of games and felt that soundtracks "lacked drama and intensity." He composed a demo to showcase what he believed music should sound like in games, and showed it to Square. They hired him as an in-house composer, and set him to work on Secret of Evermore as his first game.

The soundtrack was released on CD with 29 tracks, 8 of which were arranged versions of the in-game soundtrack. It was released as a pre-order bonus for the game.

Blizzard decided at the last minute to include licensed classic rock songs in the soundtrack, a rarity when the game was released. Of course at the time, these had to be remade in a chiptune style.
The track listings for the game are:
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Henry Mancini - The Peter Gunn Theme
Deep Purple - Highway Star
Golden Earring - Radar Love (Genesis version only)
Steppenwolf - Born to Be Wild
George Thorogood - Bad to the Bone

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

If the player names their character "ZELDA" in all capital letters ("LOLO" in the French release; "ぜるだ" in the Japanese release) they are treated to a salsa remix of the game's main theme. This could also be a nod to the original The Legend of Zelda on the NES, where entering the name "ZELDA" on the second save slot results in the game starting on the second quest immediately.
Franchise: Animal Crossing

K.K. Slider is based on the game's sound designer Kazumi Totaka. K.K. Slider's Japanese name "Totakeke" is taken from the fact that in Japan, last names are written first, so it would be Totaka Kazumi. That can be shortened to "Totaka K" very similar to "Totakeke". Totaka has also hidden music in every Animal Crossing game, and at least twelve other games. People now search for the hidden music in his games, which is known as "Totaka's Song".

Attachment According to STI director Roger Hector, Michael Jackson was initially brought in during development to compose music for the game, even though no mention of his involvement was included in any of the game's credits. This was supposedly due to the scandals that arose around Jackson at the time. His involvement was removed from the title, and much reworking, including all the started music, had to be done.

In December 2009, Michael Jackson's composer Bradley Buxer (credited in Sonic 3 as Brad Buxer) told French magazine Black & White that Jackson was actually involved with some of Sonic 3's compositions, supposedly not being credited because he wasn't happy with how they sounded, due to the lack of optimal sound reproduction on the Genesis.
