Impa's armor was stylized with a Japanese motif. Early concept art shows that Impa's was conceptualized as a samurai, having the Naginata as the main weapon, as well as design elements from her Skyward Sword incarnation.

Many of Impa's moves and combos are likely inspired by the bodyguard/protector characters from Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and Warriors Orochi. Her victory sequence with the Blade may also have been inspired by a move done by a character in Dynasty Warriors 8.

1
The Persona games have many references to and take inspiration from the long-running manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

One example is in the third game, where the protagonists summon their personas using guns to shoot themselves. This is similar to the first scene of Stardust Crusaders, when Jotaro Kujo grabs a gun and shoots at his head in order to summon his Stand.

Another example is in Persona 4, when the main antagonist accidentally reveals himself by saying something he shouldn't have known. A similar situation happens in the fourth part of the manga, Diamond is Unbreakable.

Attachment According to director Hidetaka Miyazaki, the Crystal Ring Shield's "attack" is supposed to be based off of Ultraman's Ultra Slash attack from the Japanese television show of the same name. However, he has stated he was not entirely happy with how it turned out, as the artist he was explaining it to did not quite understand what he meant when trying to explain how it would look "like Ultraman".

Originally the main character did not dance while moving. When the game was presented to Sony, they said the main character looked too uninteresting. Later in the game's development, the developers decided to add dancing after seeing a film about a contemporary dancer who looked similar to the character in the game.

1
WWE 2K17 marks the first game in the WWE 2K series to not have a proper "Showcase Mode", a mode that focuses on past WWE rivalries. 2K Games revealed in a blog post that the exclusion of a Showcase Mode came down to ideas involving cover Superstar Brock Lesnar that weren't feasible because of other historic WWE Superstars such as Kurt Angle not being in the game. They instead chose to focus more on the WWE Universe and MyCareer mode.

Attachment Nahyuta's overall character design is very gender neutral, which was meant to suggest that Nahyuta had "transcended gender". It was therefore up to the player to decide their gender for themselves. Aspects of their appearance are based on Hinduism and Buddhism, where many of the gods and deities are genderless or share both genders.

This "genderless" design can be seen in his early concept art, before he was given broader shoulders and a more masculine face.

The game was originally developed by BottleRocket (who developed Afro Samurai) up until early 2009. Namco then cut the developer from the project and took back the console development kits they gave to the crew. BottleRocket went out of business after this. Development of the game was handed over to the internal development team at Namco Bandai Games, who hired some people who had previously worked for BottleRocket to complete the game.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2

Attachment A girl featured in the concept art of a pitch by Creative Assembly for a new Resident Evil game bears a striking resemblance to Natalia Korda from Resident Evil: Revelations 2. The images, by Brad Wright, depict a girl on a hospital bed and show her having some kind of unnatural powers. These story elements were all later included in Resident Evil: Revelations 2. Wright put the images online in 2015 a few months after the release of the game, though his statements imply that the pitch was made years before then.

In the Super Famicom (Japanese) version of the game, there is a small, dark dot on the forehead of Belger's character portrait, most likely as a result of shading. In the international release, Nintendo removed this dot for fear it would be mistaken for a bindi and thus make players think that they were beating up a disabled Hindu. On other platforms, the character portraits are too small to display such a minute detail clearly.
Project X Zone 2

The developers approached Hideki Kamiya asking if they could have Bayonetta appear in the crossover title. Kamiya refused, stating he would like Dante, who was already a confirmed character, and Bayonetta to meet on his terms. He has since come out and said that he regrets this decision, and would like to see Bayonetta included in Project X Zone 3.

The game was scrapped due to Disney switching their focus to the mobile gaming market.

A black version of the said Karuteka was given to Ken as an alternate costume, but the character was ultimately rejected.
