Final Fantasy IV
subdirectory_arrow_right Final Fantasy Chronicles (Game)
1
In all of the SNES versions of Final Fantasy IV, it is sometimes possible to open the menu while walking between tiles on the world map. If a Tent or Cabin is then used from the menu, it triggers the "sliding glitch." The map's collision will be shifted one tile away from the direction the player was walking. This by itself is cosmetic, however saving and reloading the game will reset the collision to match the graphics. This means the bug can be used to bypass certain map triggers or other impassible areas. This was fixed in the PlayStation version - it is no longer possible to open the menu when moving.
First Samurai
1
Attachment Due to Nintendo's censorship policies at the time, all human enemies were either changed or removed in the SNES version.

• The knife throwers in levels 1-4 (Mystic Land) were changed to purple demons who spit fireballs. In the same levels, the martial artists became green-yellowish demons who throw grenades.

• The punks on level 5 (Train To Tomorrow) were changed to green robots.

• In levels 6-8 (Tokyo) the enemy who throws grenades was recolored to look like a green demon. Also, the Commando enemy in those same levels was taken out completely.
Wolfenstein 3D
1
Attachment On the Macintosh version of the game, pressing B on the id Software logo will show a secret picture depicting a cartoon of lead programmer Rebecca "Burger" Heinemann getting decapitated by an axe-wielding unnamed member of management. This image also appears in the 3DO version of Out of this World.
Resident Evil Survivor
1
There was a little known port of the game created with a new engine and mouse aiming support for PC. The port was only released in China and most likely due to this version being riddled with bugs and glitches all plans to release it elsewhere were cancelled.
Final Fantasy IV
1
Attachment While Kain cannot cast any magic in Final Fantasy IV, the data in the SNES version contains a two-frame animated sprite for Kain casting spells, as all other spellcasters have. The Final Fantasy IV Settei Shiryou Shuu shows a screenshot of Kain with a White Magic command, and there is an unused empty magic spell list that, based on the internal character order, was intended for him.
The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon
1
Attachment In the DS version, one of the cutscenes shows Sparx with a hole through his body.
Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
1
There is evidence in the code of the arcade version that the two boss characters, Huitzil and Pyron, may have been planned as playable at one stage of development. There is an alternate color scheme for both of the characters that shows up if you are playing a mirror match, both characters are able to be played in Arcade mode though hacking (though Pyron can't fight the final boss due to a bug), both of the characters have their own endings, which are the exact same as their endings in the sequel, "Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge", though in a more unfinished state with the ending text just repeating "A" and the music not playing like it should.
Retro City Rampage
1
Attachment The game includes an NES prototype of the game called "ROM City Rampage". It can be played within the Wii and PC/Steam releases, and also by using NES emulation software.
Sonic Adventure
1
In the Dreamcast version of Sonic Adventure, you can explore under the deep water in the Egg Carrier Chao Garden. Under the water lies a secret ring far out of reach. This was removed in the DX update, because the depth of the water was reduced, probably to prevent Chao from swimming out of reach and getting stuck in the terrain.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
1
There are unused files for the M249E2 SAW which was originally intended to be included in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but was never actually in it. They can be found in the PS2 version.
LEGO Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge
1
In the PC version of the game, after obtaining 100% completion, it's possible to open a portal on the side of Space Mountain where a cave can be seen. To open the portal, the player must type in the code "sdreams". Inside the portal are LEGO Minifigure versions of most of the development team that worked on the game at Silicon Dreams.
Harvest Moon: Magical Melody
subdirectory_arrow_right Harvest Moon: Magical Melody (Game)
1
Attachment The Gamecube version of Magical Melody gives the player an option to begin the game as either a girl or a boy.
This gameplay feature was removed from the Wii port, so that only the male protagonist is playable. Any reference to the female protagonist was also removed from the cover art.
WWF No Mercy
1
It was originally intended for the game to have Transfer Pak functionality, allowing the player to take their created wrestler in the Game Boy Color version and place him into the Nintendo 64 version. The Game Boy version was cancelled, but the menu can still be accessed using Gameshark codes.
WWF Raw
1
There is an unused character found in the SNES version's data named "??Mystery??". He appears to be a placeholder for a 13th wrestler who wasn't finished. His sprites are borrowed from Shawn Michaels, but the palette used gives him grey hair and boots, pale skin, and black pants; and when performing certain moves, his sprites change to Bret Hart. He also lacks a finishing move, a theme song, portraits and a biography on the wrestler selection screen, and graphics for the Titantron that appears when winning a match. The Genesis version contains a variation, but this one resembles Razor Ramon.
Platform: Nintendo 64
1
Nintendo removed the Nintendo 64's ability to use RGB output (SCART/Component), but earlier versions of the console still have the ability to do so. An RGB signal can be achieved on the N64 by simply jumping a few wires on the motherboard and adding a few more electronic components.
Super Mario 64 DS
1
Attachment The Nintendo 64 version of the room containing the entrance to The Princess's Secret Slide is still part of the in-game's castle model, complete with a sign and a functional warp to the Secret Slide. The door leading to this room was simply changed to lead to the new version of the room.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3
1
The PS2 version has an exclusive feature called Disc Fusion which unlocks battles in Ultimate Battle.

The Wii version exclusively has the Dragon Net Battle mode, to allow online play.
Collection: MediEvil
1
Sir Daniel Fortesque's voice was originally performed by the game's lead designer, Jason Wilson, in MediEvil, after the developers auditioned several actors but could not find anyone they were happy with. In the end, Wilson stepped in to do the voice himself, allegedly reading the lines through gritted teeth while wearing a bucket on his head to get the right effect.

In MediEvil 2, Fortesque was played by British voice actor Marc Silk, with Jason Wilson reprising the role in the PSP reimagining MediEvil: Resurrection. French actor Stephane Cornicard portrayed Dan in his appearance in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, who Wilson criticized as sounding "a little too much like the Swedish Chef for my liking".
Duke Nukem 3D
1
In the Mac version of the game, typing in DN1984 on the first level will print "Big Brother is Watching!" at the top of the screen and replace the movie playing in the theatre with the 1984 Super Bowl Apple Ad.
Fur Fighters
1
Attachment On the 27th page of the manual for the PC and Dreamcast versions, an unreleased sequel only referred to as Fur Fighters II is mentioned. In the PS2 release, the mention is dropped from the manual.
