Attachment According to artist Pat Block, there were plans for an Epic Mickey follow-up titled Epic Donald. The game would have featured Donald Duck and elements from the Carl Barks comics. The game was canceled due to the dismal failure of Epic Mickey II and the switch to focus on the mobile gaming market.
God of War III

The Japanese version of God of War III censored some of the game's more explicit violence and nudity:

• Poseidon's Princess, Aphrodite, and her handmaidens had their breasts covered up.
• The graphic wounds that Kratos gives to Hercules' face were removed during his death scene.
• When Kratos chops off Hermes' legs, his protruding bones were removed during his death scene.
• The scene where Kratos removes Helios' head with his bare hands takes place off-screen.
Resident Evil 6

Attachment Carla Radames was originally going to be a clone of Ada Wong, but the producers of the game told the developers they weren't allowed to incorporate cloning into the story. The team originally came up with the idea that there could be 4 to 5 Ada clones, and that in the game it would be revealed that every Ada the player has encountered in the series thus far had been different clones of her.
Kingdom Hearts Re:coded

The game started out more or less as a direct port of the original Kingdom Hearts Coded. When it was found that the game didn't fill up all of the cartridge's memory, the development team was asked to make it "full 3D and put in the panel system arrangement from Days."

Chris Redfield was originally meant to die in Resident Evil 6 Spoiler:instead of Piers, but the developers decided to swap the characters because they felt Chris's death would have been cheap and tacked on simply for shock value.

CyberConnect2 president and CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama explained that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle was conceived "partly thanks to" the 2006 video game JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood. When that game was finished, the developers came up with the idea of a new game involving all the story arcs of the series.

The Revenge of Shinobi

Attachment Originally the developers of The Revenge of Shinobi intended Joe Musashi's master (the old man dying in the intro) to reveal himself to be the head of Neo Zeed and to be the game's true final boss. In addition to his martial arts skills, he would also have been able to summon earthquakes and falling rocks. The entire battle was sequenced and designed, but due to time constraints it never made it into the final game.

In a 2003 interview with the game's creator, Masanobu Endoh, Xevious was originally meant to take place during the Vietnam war, and the Solvalou was to be a helicopter.
Batman: Arkham Asylum

Batman: Arkham Asylum owes its existence to a failed game tie-in for Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" movie developed by EA and Pandemic Studios. Because Pandemic was unable to finish the game in time for the release of the movie, EA $100 million in revenue and Pandemic was forced to close in 2009. With Eidos in control of the game license, they charged British game developer Rocksteady Studios with creating the next Batman game, which became Arkham Asylum.

Venom is named after the British thrash/black metal band Venom. Additionally, his attacks "Carcass Ride" and "Dark Angel" could be references to bands Carcass and Dark Angel, respectively. On a side note, his original theme "A Solicitude That Asks Nothing In Return" sounds similar to the song "Breed to Breathe" by the band Napalm Death.
