The Pikmin microgame is exclusive to the non-Japanese version of the game. The Pikmin microgame replaced a game based off of the Famicom Disk System game Nazo no Murasamejō ("the Mysterious Murasame Castle." This is likely due to the original game not being localised until 2014.

If you name your game "Mario Paint" then, while you are making graphics for your game, the Mario Paint theme will play.
