Doom II: Hell on Earth

Attachment Doom II has two secret levels designed as a tribute to other id titles. The first secret level titled "Wolfenstein" is largely based on the first map in Wolfenstein 3D. A secret exit in the level leads to the second secret map, titled "Grosse", referencing Hans Grosse, the first boss in Wolfenstein 3D. To beat "Grosse", the player has to shoot four hanging Commander Keens and flip a switch. Commander Keen is the protagonist in multiple platformer games also developed by id.
Grand Theft Auto IV

Attachment Niko Bellic, one of the game's protagonists, was based on the character Sasha from the 2001 film "Behind Enemy Lines" played by Vladimir Mashkov. Mashkov was even asked by Rockstar if he'd like to play Niko Bellic but, declined the offer.

Attachment Onox's name is misspelled twice in Oracle of Ages as 'Knox'. The first time is when Twinrova announces that the three flames are now lit, saying that the Flames of Sorrow and Destruction were lit by "Veran and Knox". Later when battling Twinrova, she announces that she will "not fall like Knox or Veran". Curiously, this does not occur in Oracle of Seasons.
Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition

Attachment There is a glitch in Pokemon Yellow where you can catch a level 1 Nidoking at the end of Viridian Forest, and level it up to level 100 with one fight. It involves catching a level 4 Caterpie and escaping from a trainer battle using an Escape Rope.
