Attachment After dialing 1-800-333-hugo in the phone booth, Penelope is transported to the planet Retupmoc ('computer' spelled backwards) and exits out of the TARDIS where she encounters the Doctor and a Dalek from "Doctor Who". After destroying the Dalek, the Doctor will give you the "sonar-screwdriver", a reference to the sonic screwdriver. The Doctor appears again at the end where the suspects have been gathered together.

Attachment In the Aerodrome level, there's a police phone box hidden in the background, a reference to the TARDIS from "Doctor Who". Wayne Peters, one of the game's artists who was also a fan of the show, had secretly placed it there as a tribute.

"Get outta here! You're perfectly healthy."
"Healthcare costs."
"I'll just fix you up."

This possibly suggests that hospitals at one point may've been enterable to get healed.

Attachment In the Heroic Fantasy book 'The Name of The Wind' by Patrick Rothfuss, the main character Kvothe stumbles at one point (Page 22 in the attached PDF) and says "I took an arrow in the knee on my way through the Eld three summers ago" The book was published in 2007 and might be where Bethesda got the line from. If this is the case, then 'arrow in the knee' may be an Easter egg or reference to the novel.

Sandover Village can be accessed and explored though a glitch in the first cutscene. However, since the area was only meant to be used in said cutscene, the village does not have any characters and the levels Forbidden Jungle, Geyser Rock, Misty Island, Sentinel Beach, and Fire Canyon are inaccessible as there is nothing to call up for these areas.

The game originally had a flying cage carried by four winged creatures. Mario would start already in the cage and with an autoscroll script, the cage would move along the level. Although the cage can be found in the code, the graphics for it are incomplete. The cage is likely left over from the 'SNES Test Program'.
