A Hat in Time
1
Attachment Jon Jafari aka JonTron, who voiced the Jazzy Penguin in the game's prototype, was originally asked to voice a different character. The developers thought his voice didn't match the proposed character, and instead made him the voice of the Jazzy Penguin. Jon would later end up voicing the secretary of Dead Bird Studios instead in the final game.
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

Starlight Inception
1
Attachment The original logo considered for the game had to be changed because it too closely resembled the U.S. Air Force logo, which it was based on. The developers worked with both the Air Force Entertainment Liaison Office and the Trademark and Licensing office at Randolph AFB to find a design that wouldn't violate their trademark.
Final Fight

Attachment Poison's name comes from the rock band of the same name. She wears a hat just like C.C Deville, the lead guitarist, who wore the cap for a while. It has the exact same skull logo on the front.

"Also, we had a woman co-worker who we asked to list as many names as she could think of for our characters. She was really into rock music, so that's why lots of them turned out to be named after band members!" - Akira Nishitani, Final Fight Game Designer (Retro Gamer Magazine Issue 37)
The Simpsons Skateboarding

Attachment The game was once called "The Simpsons Cheap Skater". This can be seen in an early, unused loading screen, which is still present in the game's files.
Fallout 3

While the V.A.T.S. targeting system is an evolution of the targeted shot mechanic in earlier Fallout games, the slow-motion visuals were inspired by the Crash Mode Replays from the Burnout series. Artist Grant Struthers prototyped the V.A.T.S. camera system by filming stop-motion fight scenes with his Incredibles action figures.

1
In South Korea, only Blue Rescue Team was released, meaning that a Korean-language version of Red Rescue Team does not exist. This is due to the Nintendo DS being the first console to be launched by Korean Nintendo Central. There are no official Korean games for the Game Boy Advance at all.
Grand Theft Auto V
1
The 4th heist mission "The Paleto Score" is loosely based on the 1997 North Hollywood Bank Robbery.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game
1
Attachment On the top floor of the Firehouse in both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game is a child's drawing of a Ghostbuster that reads "To Uncle Egon, from Ed". This is likely a reference to the 2007 fan-film: "Return of the Ghostbusters", which stars a new set of Ghostbusters, one of whom is Egon's nephew, named Ed Spengler.
Call of Duty
1
Attachment The NPC "Prv. Ambrose" is most likely a reference to Stephen E. Ambrose, author of Band of Brothers. The book is a collection of stories from the members of "Easy Company", part of the 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne. This same unit featured prominently in Call of Duty.

It was originally intended for Rosalina to appear as a playable character, but due to time constraints, the developers couldn't get her model done in time. The developers opted to add Luma instead, as she was smaller and simpler to create.

The book "N'Gasta! Kvata! Kvakis!" appears in three of the Elder Scrolls games: Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. The text seems like pure gibberish, and the game purports that it is an obscure text written in the Sload language by the necromancer N'Gasta.

In reality, the book is a passage written in obfuscated Esperanto. By making a few substitutions to the text, it can be translated back into English. The passage is actually completely unrelated to Morrowind, and seems to be an excerpt picked randomly from the Internet. It concerns the "Kva! Kvak!", which is the newletter of the 'La Ranetoj,' the Stockholm Esperanto Society. Why the developers picked this excerpt to be included in the games has never been explained.
