While Kitana's model and textures were removed from the Playstation release, leaving only her moveset in the code, she is still fully functional in the N64 and PC releases, and can be accessed with a GameShark code or patch.

Collecting the letters found in certain levels as Biker will unlock additional dialogue when talking to the characters in the basement at the end of chapter 19. While normally they will refer to their scheme as just a game, when all of the letters have been collected, they will reveal a much deeper conspiracy present within the game.

Cave Story

In one room, called the Statue Chamber, are statues of all of the previous wearers of the Demon Crown, including the current wearer and antagonist of the game, The Doctor. However, if the player completes a series of complex tasks, they will eventually come back to this room after going through the Sacred Grounds and defeating the Heavy Brace boss. The statues are now destructible, and when destroyed, will appear as Quote (the player character), Toroko, King, and Curly Brace, the main characters of the game.

In 2006, prior to the release of the Burning Crusade expansion, Blizzard announced the Wisp race as an April Fool's joke. The announcement page satirically recounted their role in the death of Archimonde at the end of Warcraft 3.

The race also featured permanent death, and a "Detonate" ability, which would kill the character. The announcement, made a day late, caused an uproar within the World of Warcraft community until it was revealed to be an April Fools' joke, and the Draenei were revealed to be the new Alliance race for the expansion.

The game is banned in South Korea because it depicts war breaking out between North and South Korea, which results in the destruction of Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. While hostility between the two countries was high for decades after the Korean War, people in South Korea now view North Koreans as "wayward cousins". Popular media frequently depicts the two countries making peace and becoming partners, and media that depicts them at war has become unwelcome.

Due to the Columbine massacre and the media's claims of the video game industry being partly to blame for the tragedy, Scholastic and K.A. Applegate, the author of the book series, asked for the game to be redesigned so that they could distance themselves from anything resembling "violent video games", despite the book series commonly featuring violent acts.

If Mario loses his hat in Snowman's Land by being blown away by the giant snowman's breath, and then takes the warp under the tree, his hat will duplicate, and retrieving it will cause this glitch.

Attachment In the Temple of the Moons level in the "Secret of the Oracles" episode, there are moon drawings on the floor. Standing idle on one of these drawings will make Commander Keen moon the player, as opposed to reading a book (his normal idle animation).

Attachment Jon Jafari aka JonTron, who voiced the Jazzy Penguin in the game's prototype, was originally asked to voice a different character. The developers thought his voice didn't match the proposed character, and instead made him the voice of the Jazzy Penguin. Jon would later end up voicing the secretary of Dead Bird Studios instead in the final game.

Attachment The original logo considered for the game had to be changed because it too closely resembled the U.S. Air Force logo, which it was based on. The developers worked with both the Air Force Entertainment Liaison Office and the Trademark and Licensing office at Randolph AFB to find a design that wouldn't violate their trademark.
