The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

In April 2018, the iQue Player (a Chinese console based on the Nintendo 64) was cracked after 15 years. Upon hacking the console, a never before seen Taiwanese ROM of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was found suggesting that the system and/or the game was planned to be localized in that region.
Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition

If the player attempts to enter the Safari Zone without sufficient money to enter enough times, the worker who lets you in will take pity and allow you to enter with one Safari Ball. This was not an interaction in Pokemon Red & Blue and exists as a way to prevent the player from progressing in the game as a result of being unable to acquire enough money to get HM03 Surf, which is found in the park.
Ratchet & Clank

In the demo version, a cutscene in Blackwater City shows Darla Gratch says she's reporting for "Channel 64 News", but her microphone has a 2 on it. In the official release version, her small dialogue was change to "Channel 2 News", but her mouth doesn't match the words she says. In later games like Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, she was reporting for "Channel 64 News", as was originally intended during development of the first game.

The original flash launcher of the game, shown while the game was downloading, included an animation about how the cogs were made.

The story was that Scrooge McDuck visited Gyro Gearloose but didn't find him at home, he then found a robot and tried to repair it to make a profit, the robot in turn then created the cogs with another machine found within the lab.

Early pressings of the Genesis version included snippets from "Thriller," the title track of Jackson's bestselling 1982 album, that would play whenever a special attack was used in stages 3-1, 3-2, 3-3 and 5-3. However, because "Thriller" was written by Rod Temperton and not by Jackson himself, the quotations from this song were replaced with ones from "Billie Jean" (also from the "Thriller" album) and "Another Part of Me" (from the 1987 "Bad" album); in these later pressings, stages 3-1, 3-2, and 5-3 use "Another Part of Me", while 3-3 uses "Billie Jean".

In a episode of the 8-4 Play podcast, localization producer Nao Higo confirmed that Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII was going to be the guest character of the PlayStation 2 port. However, the deal got canned at the last minute, and Heihachi from Tekken replaced him in the end.
