Despite the English version of Melee using Star Fox Adventures' voice cast in the game's Corneria and Venom stages, the Japanese version uses all of the original Star Fox 64 voice actors. Shinobu Satouchi, Hisao Egawa, Kyoko Tongu and Tomohisa Aso all reprise their roles as Fox, Falco, Slippy and Peppy respectively. The former two's voice clips are also used for Fox and Falco as fighters even abroad.

A very fine compromise indeed. Thanks for adding the additional information to the submission I posted in 2014, of which I didn't think to include in the submission myself at the time.

I've updated CuriousUserX90's original post with some of the information from the first half of the original submission by Dinoman96, and reworded the second half of the original post to stand on its own merits. Hopefully this compromise will satisfy everyone.

I see that now, but I also wanted to point out that in the JP version of Melee, the original JP SF64 VA cast reprised their respective roles. Maybe a staff could combine this and that old one?

I already posted a submission about this in 2014: https://www.vgfacts.com/game/supersmashbrosmelee/trivia-6674
