While the Mario version of the Figure Skating Spectacular dream event based on Super Mario 3D Land contains brand new arrangements of songs from that game (as well as the Ground theme from Super Mario Bros. and the Fortress Boss theme from Super Mario Bros. 3), the Sonic version of the dream event based on Sonic Colors instead uses the original soundtrack recordings from that game, albeit edited together to form a medley fitting the event.

Technically they always reuse music for Sonic games instead of using arrangements with Sonic music in these crossovers, especially when it comes to dream events.
