Attachment In the Japanese version, the character icons do not sync with their voices and simply animate the whole way. This was changed in the western versions of the game where the icons would sync with what the characters are saying.
Mario Tennis

Alex, Nina, Harry, and Kate are no longer playable in the Virtual Console version of the game. None of the character's personalized courts (excluding Donkey Kong's) can be unlocked either. This due to the game needing to be connected to the Game Boy Color version of Mario Tennis to unlock this content, which the Wii cannot do.
Franchise: Digimon

Attachment Digimon Digital Card Battle had different card backs between the american and japanese versions of Digimon Digital Card Battle, which also applied to the physical card game at the time.

The card backs were unchanged in the english dub of Digimon Tamers, which is also true for Digimon World 3 (in spite of the card game in Digimon World 3 not actually being the same one).

Oddly the english version of Digimon Rumble Arena, which was mostly based on Digimon Tamers, had the american card game backs in the american version instead.
Digimon Digital Card Battle

Attachment The japanese opening for Digimon Digital Card Battle (known as Digimon Digital Card Arena in Japan) has the opening theme for Digimon Adventure 02, Target, while the western version has the instrumental version of the opening theme for the first three series of the Digimon anime in America, which was also used as an evolution theme (albeit with a few lyrics).
Franchise: Digimon

Attachment There are a few differences in the western localization of the entire Digimon franchise, aside from some of the names being different, the words "Digivolve" and "Digivolution" replace the words "shinka" and the translated version of "shinka", "evolution" both verbally and visually.

The amount of money that the player can make from selling photographs, as well as the criteria for ranking photographs, is significantly stricter in the PlayStation 3 version. This is likely due to the exploitable and lenient photo-ranking system in the Xbox 360 version, where photos of bosses could be sold for massive amounts of money.

In the game's Japanese dialogue, during the boss battle against Rondo, her Japanese voice actress speaks in English, shouting phrases like "Take that, vile rat!" and "Take that, filthy swine!"

1

The character "Fang the Wolf", who appears and is playable in all other releases of the game, was included but not unlockable in the initial Gamecube release due to the game being rushed out before the method of unlocking him was actually programmed in.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory

The Japanese version has an additional DLC party member named Compile. She is named after Compile Heart's precursor company, famous in Japan for creating the Puyo Puyo series.
Most likely due to licencing issues (since parts of Compile were sold to SEGA), she was never made available in the North American and European versions of Victory.

Attachment When you play any of the two Oracle games on a Game Boy Advance there will a special shop in Lynna Village called the Advance Shop or 100 Rupee Advance Shop. All the items on sale cost 100 rupees: a Gasha Seed, a Magic Ring and an Advance Ring. In Ages, it's adjacent to the Shooting Gallery and in Seasons to the Know-It-All Birds Hut. However, it's not available in the 3DS Virtual Console version since it runs on the Game Boy emulator. The shop is run by Stockwell, who is amazed you found the place.
Drakengard 3

The Disciple are named the "Apostles" in the Japanese release of the game. They were designed around prime male archetypes, and were given dialogue and personalities to contrast their appearance.
Cubic Ninja

In 2014, an exploit in the game's save files was discovered, which enabled homebrew games and applications to be put into the 3DS. This caused prices and demand for the game to suddenly spike.

After the announcement of the exploit, Nintendo removed the game from sale on the Japanese eShop. In Japan, the game was only available as a download title.

This exploit was later made unusable through a 3DS firmware update.

In the Amiga version of Dragon's Lair, the copy protection coder of the game left a message to crackers. The message says:

A message to crackers: Nobody wants copy protection. All it is designed to do
is give a program a fighting chance. Now we realize that there is a great
competition to see which group breaks this game first, however, if you do
break it, please consider this: If you let this game out early after release,
and there are few sales, it will be very difficult to justify followup games of
this type. Nobody benefits; not the developers, not the users, and not the
Amiga community. Please reconsider holding on for a while and not letting
the game suffer. The decision is yours.

This message apparently worked, as the Amiga version of Dragon's Lair: Escape from Singe's Castle contained an additional message from the game's copy protector Randy Linden once again asking crackers to wait to crack the game and thanking them for listening with the first game. This message reads:

Once again, a small note to pirates and crackers: I thank you very much for delaying the release of DL1,
but must once again ask you to please wait with Escape. We have tried to provide the Amiga community
with the best possible game for your money (unlike many other companies), and hope that once again
there will be enough sales into the future to support yet another game we are planning for the Amiga:
TERMINATOR! Please consider delaying your release of Escape. As more and more quality companies leave
the Amiga for the more profitable IBM, C64 and Nintendo markets, it is up to you, the users, to show
which computer is truly Visionary. Randy "Irwin" Linden
