In the PlayStation version, a Galaxian mini-game can be played as the game loads. If all the enemies are defeated before the game loads, 8 additional cars are unlocked as a reward.
Final Fantasy IX
1
Attachment After finishing the game's end credits, on the "THE END" screen, press R2/L1/R2/R2/Up/X/Right/Circle/Down/Triangle/L2/R1/R2/L1/Square/Square. A menu selection noise should play if this code is entered successfully, upon which you should press Start to be taken to a secret Blackjack minigame. You start with a balance of 1000, and can only bet wagers divisible by 10. If you go bankrupt, you will be sent back to the "THE END" screen, but you can play again by re-entering the code and pressing Start.
Need for Speed: High Stakes

On the Credits of the PC version, switch from the Scrolling Credits over to the Photo credits featuring headshots of the developers who worked on the game. From this point, quickly click on the photos as they appear on-screen. After an unknown amount of clicking, a secret minigame will begin where you must click the photos before they disappear to score points.
Ultimate Muscle: Legends vs. New Generation

Pandaman from the One Piece series makes a cameo appearance as a hidden playable character in the game. According to One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda, Pandaman was originally created as an entry for a character-design contest for the Kinnikuman series, who was later used as a gag character within the One Piece anime and mangas.
Mega Man X6
1
Boss levels in Mega Man X6 are tied to the number of Nightmare Souls the player has obtained, up to a max of Level 4 at 5,000 Nightmare Souls. If Nightmare Zero is beaten at Level 4, Zero's black armor from previous games is unlocked. This armor is only normally unlockable with a cheat code entered at the title screen (L/L/L/ZR). Due to an oversight, the final stage unlocks automatically when the player obtains only 3,000 Nightmare Souls, meaning that Nightmare Zero is impossible to fight at Level 4 without a GameShark code (300CCF5F 0003 for the US version of the game) since he becomes unavailable when the final stage is unlocked.
Populous

Attachment In The Promised Lands expansion pack for the PC Engine CD, it's possible to encounter randomly-generated levels themed after the Bomberman series. One such level can be accessed with the code "LOWUSDON", and features several White and Red Bombermen inhabiting fortresses in their likeness and setting bombs across the world map.
Super Punch-Out!!
1
In 2022, a pair of previously unknown cheat codes for the game were discovered, presumably having been used for debug purposes:

•From the title screen, by holding the R and Y buttons on a second controller, and then pressing Start or A on the first controller, a new menu will appear showing Little Mac versus head profiles of all 16 fighters in the game, allowing you to select whoever you want for a one-off match. After the match is finished, you are sent back to the same menu.

•Also on this menu, an unbalanced two player-mode can be accessed if the second player holds B or Y on their selected opponent until the match starts. As the opponent, using A, B, X, or Y in tandem with Up and Down will allow you to pull off every basic and advanced attack in each boss's arsenal. This mode is unbalanced in that every boss is still more powerful than Little Mac and have pauses with "tells" for when they are about to attack, and if dodged successfully will leave them vulnerable to attacks.
Gex
1
Attachment Exclusive to the 3DO version, in the level "The Project", there is a secret exit towards the bottom of the map with a Question Mark caption just before it reading:

"This door will take Gex so far away that he can't come back! Make sure you've saved your game recently!"

Going through the secret exit will boot up a secret Breakout clone, where you control Gex shooting balls up towards isometric cubes. To catch the ball, it must hit Gex's head, or if it is too far away from his head, Gex can shoot his tongue out a short distance to catch it just before it lands. The game's second boss, The Flatulator, also appears in this minigame, and hitting him with the ball will allow Gex to shoot the ball higher, while propellors will occasionally appear to generate more cubes.

This game appears to be another small project that was repurposed into an Easter egg, although there are no known messages or credits that appear during it. It's unknown why this minigame was left out of other versions of the game.
Gex

Attachment Exclusive to the 3DO version, in the level "The Project", there is a secret exit in the bottom-left corner of the map with a Question Mark caption just before it reading:

"This door will take Gex so far away that he can't come back! Make sure you've saved your game recently!"

Entering this secret exit will boot up a 3D side-scrolling shoot-'em-up level. The game gives you 5 credits and 3 hit points to play through the game. You can pick up remote controls, and after getting enough of them your ship will now have triple shots. For every enemy shot at, the score will change to different quips and numbers at random, including:

•"69 Dude!"
•666 (the Number of the beast)
•90210 (the zip code to Beverly Hills, California and a reference to the 1990 television series "Beverly Hills, 90210")
•"Googleplex" [sic] (Googolplex, the company Google did not exist at the time this demo was made or when Gex was first released)
•"Really high!"
•"Way up there"
•"Astronomical"
•Infinity
•"Score is cool, huh, huh"
•"Are you still counting?"
•"I don't know"
•"I lost count"
•"Who cares!"
•"Who keeps score!"
•"Missed one!"
•"Watch your butt not the score!"
•"Is your controller plugged in"
•"Loser!"
•"You suck!"
•"Sucks to be you!"
•"How bad are you?!"

It was originally a senior college project for Stanford University by programmer Evan Wells, but was repurposed as an Easter egg for this game. On the Game Over screen, the game's credits can be seen:

"Thank you for playing!

Programming: Evan Lindsay Wells
Gregg Tavares
Design: Evan Lindsay Wells
Art: Steve Webb
Music: Steve Henefin"

This Easter egg was first known to have been documented in a pair of grainy YouTube videos from 2007. It's unknown why this minigame was not included in other versions of the game.
Twisted Metal: Black

Attachment A hidden, "Unlock Everything" cheat code exists in the game that requires a "Master Code" to enable the second button input's activation. The two separate segments of the cheat code must be inputted in a collective total of exactly 24 seconds, with a 12 second pause required between each code entered.
Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop
1
Attachment The Bionic Commando costume found in the Wii port of the game was likely added to promote the Bionic Commando (2009) video game as it was not yet released, making this the only Dead Rising port to tease a game currently in development by Capcom.
Cuphead
1
In "The Delicious Last Course" DLC, there is a puzzle on the map for Isle IV involving a trio of contest winners towards the back of the Isle and a set of 9 gravestones towards the front of the Isle. Completing this puzzle will unlock Spoiler:a secret boss fight that takes place in a dream world held up by the skeletal remains of the Devil (seen in claymation), where you fight angel and demon variants of the Devil on both sides of the stage. However, they each switch places back-and-forth every time you turn left or right, presumably due to Cuphead's interactions with the Devil in the main game preventing him from seeing an Angel. This boss fight was originally designed as a second phase for the Devil's fight in the main game, but ultimately went unused until the release of The Delicious Last Course. A primitive version of the phase can be found in the game’s data. This boss cannot be refought after beating it. Beating it will unlock the Cursed Relic as a charm as well as the achievement "A Horrible Night to Have a Curse", a reference to the text box seen during the day-to-night transition from Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.
The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall

There is a questline that was accidentally left out of the final game due to a misnamed file. "A Test of Determination" is a questline for the Vampire Clan where the given objective is to confront a Daedra in the local dungeon where it lives over the control the player's bloodline has in a given region. The binary file is named P0B1XL08.QBN and the text-file is named P0B10L08.QRC. As a result of this oversight, the player can never get this quest unless you change the name of one file so that it matches the name of the other.
Halo Infinite
1
In June of 2022, a cosmetic nameplate to commemorate the holiday Juneteenth was released but received much backlash due to a secondary palette for the nameplate being named, "Bonobo". The bonobo is a type of great ape, and many saw it as a racist connotation in association with the holiday. The nameplate was quickly renamed "Freedom", and an apology was issued, with 343 Industries' senior community manager John Junyszek later stating that the palette name originated from an asset-editing program commonly used at the studio, although it was not used in the development of Halo Infinite.

Attachment One of the language options allows you to play the game in the Fremen language from the Dune franchise.
Soldam

In 2021, several cheat codes were discovered in the Game Boy version of the game, the first two of which must be activated through the title screen.

•Ending and Credits: Up/Down/Left/Right/Select/Start.

•Sound Test: Down/Up/Down/Up/Select/B.

•Level Select: While paused in normal gameplay, press Down/Select/Up/Left/Select/Right/B. Press A or B to select a level.

Hidden Tribute to Hiroko Kasahara: To access it, you must first access the Sound Test menu. Then, set the BGM/SE index to 02 and press A once, then set BGM/SE index to 19 and press A once more. Lastly, you must input the following lengthy code:
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Left, Right, Right, Select, Select, Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Left, Right, Right, B, B, Up, Down, Left, Right, Select, Up, Down, Left, Right, B, Select, Right, Left, Down, Up, B, Right, Left, Down, Up, Select, Select, Right, Right, Left, Left, Down, Down, Up, Up, B, B, Right, Right, Left, Left, Down, Down, Up, Up, Start.

If inputted correctly, an alternate credits sequence will play out. The normal credits plays the game's ending theme and lists the name of programmer Yutaka ★Hiroko★ Sakashita among the game's developers. This alternate credits sequence instead plays the Vs. Mode music and lists the name Hiroko Kasahara at the top of the screen. Kasahara is a J-Pop singer, and the names of the game's developers in the credits are replaced with a comprehensive discography featuring the names of several albums she had released up to 1993, including the release dates for her then-upcoming 1993 albums "L'Express Fantasie" and "Nature". Considering Sakashita used Kasahara's first name on the standard credits sequence, he is most likely the one who included this Easter egg to document his love of her music at the time the game shipped. The fact that this sequence is hidden behind two cheat codes that would take almost 30 years to be discovered, with one of them being too long to easily guess, suggests that it was never meant to be seen by players.

If you defeat Maleficent in Hollow Bastion before chasing Pinocchio in Monstro, a set of alternate cutscenes will play out as you progress through the rest of Monstro. The cutscenes where Riku talks to Sora in the first chamber of Monstro, and the cutscene where he talks to Maleficent are both edited out of this sequence.
