The Apprentice
1
Attachment A clone of Space Invaders, referred to as "Marvinvaders" by the game's developers, can be accessed on the main menu by holding Button 2 and pressing Up/Right/Down/Left/Up/Down/Left/Right. A reskin of this game would appear in a later Vision Factory title, "Golden Oldies I".

Of note about the game's HUD is that "裸猫女" translates to "Naked Cat Woman".
The Apprentice
1
Attachment On the main menu, hold Button 2 and press Up/Up/Down/Down/Right/Right/Left/Left to bring up a cheat menu that contains a level select, a life counter changer, and an invincibility toggle.
Tornado Outbreak
1
The player can unlock concept art for a completely removed level known as Drive-In, an early version of the map Roadside Destruction. While the map was entirely scrapped, music for the level was reused in Roadside Destruction and the Training Campground segment in Chicken Con Carnage.
Tornado Outbreak
1
Completing the game with all the rock and water elementals collected will unlock an alternate ending that involves Zephyr, Nimbus, and the army of Wind Warriors returning to their homeworld.
Tornado Outbreak
1
By earning a gold medal in a handful of levels in the game, a blooper reel showing botched takes of cutscenes throughout the game is unlocked to view during the end credits.
Tornado Outbreak
1
Attachment Setting the aspect ratio to 4:3 and replaying the credit segments will display both the Wind Warriors and Fire Flyers thanking the player for purchasing and completing the game.
Metal Morph
1
Attachment Normally, the "Start Level" option in the Options menu allows only the first four levels to be selected. However, highlighting 'Start" on the title screen and pressing L/R/L/R/A/B/A/B/X/Y/X/Y will allow for all eight levels to be selected.
Rod-Land
1
In the NES release of the game, using the names "ICH" for Player 1 and "EAT" for Player 2 will unlock a secret level select mode called "Secret Password Mode" that can be accessed at any time during the game by pressing Select.
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
1
After beating the fishing mini-game, it's possible to play a harder version of it by inputting a secret code in front of the Fisherman: Left, Left, Right, Right, Left, Left, Right, Right, X. This version is considerably harder and has no score limit - the game continues until the player misses 20 pounds of fish or catches a poisonous eel. This secret was found nearly 20 years after the game's release.
Prey
1
Art Bell, host of the real life paranormal-themed radio program "Coast to Coast AM", lent his voice to the game by recording roughly 15 minutes of fictional broadcasts of his program that are interspersed in various places throughout the game. These broadcasts reveal key background information about events taking place in The Sphere.

The first two callers in the broadcasts (George from Garland, and Scott from Texas) are references to Prey's co-producer George Broussard and 3D Realms founder Scott Miller. Garland, Texas was also where 3D Realms was founded.
Star Fox
1
Attachment On the Continue screen, Fox can be seen standing alongside a grid display showing off the 3D model of an Arwing, which can be interacted with.

Controls:
•D-Pad = Rotates the model; pressing or holding down in one direction will cause it to move faster; doing so in the opposite direction will cause it to slow down; doing so in a perpendicular direction (i.e. pressing either left/right and then pressing either up/down, or vice versa) will not affect the speed of the model.
•X button = Stops the model's movement; moving with the D-Pad resumes it.
•L and R buttons = Zooms in and zooms out the model respectively.
•A button = Holding this button triggers a "drawing" mode where a still image of the frame where the render last appeared will trail behind it infinitely with each succeeding frame; this effect is similar to the "trailing/ghosting" glitch that can occur when dragging windows or dialog boxes on older computer operating systems.
•Plugging in a second controller = Every button except for L, R, X and A, will let you scroll through numerous models of enemies found throughout the game.

It was previously believed that the Z Saber Battle Chip could only be accessed by trading it into the game from Mega Man Zero 3, of which each copy of the game had only one copy of the chip. However, in 2022, an easier way to obtain the chip was discovered by entering the following hidden code at the Number Trader: 72794137. This code also works in the Japanese version of the game, causing its existence to baffle players as it has never been released in any of the game's official strategy guides. It's possible that the code was intended to be used during development as an easier way to access the chip without having to trade it across games, and that it was never meant to be found by players.
Heretic
1
The game mocks Doom through the use of certain cheat codes. IDDQD, which grants invincibility in Doom, kills the player instantly instead, and entering IDKFA, which gives the player every weapon in Doom, takes away all of the player's weapons.
Super Bomberman 2
1
Attachment There are two Battle Stages that are hidden in the game. Both of these stages use the third Battle Theme, a track that can only be heard through normal play in Battle Stage 4. The official method of accessing these stages is to plug in a Hudson Super Joy Card controller, turn on the turbo-fire feature, and hold X for several seconds. On the other hand, both stages can be accessed using Pro Action Replay codes.
Cuphead
1
Version 1.2 of the game added secret alternate phases to three boss fights, two of which being ideas that were originally scrapped before the game's release:
•Botanic Panic!: Spoiler:By not attacking Ollie Bulb the onion, he will retreat back into the ground and skip to Chauncey Chantenay the carrot's phase featuring an additional mini-boss, a spinning radish named Horace Radiche who despite being completed before the game was released, originally went unused.
•Pyramid Peril: Spoiler:If the player shrinks into the mini-plane form just before the fourth phase of the fight, Djimmi the Great will scan the player and pull up a marionette featuring a dinosaur, a miniature version of Dr. Kahl's Robot and a stone statue, before tugging a longer string and pulling up a smaller version of Cuppet. This skips the fourth phase and goes directly into a harder version of the final phase where the smaller Cuppet will act as a turret firing at the player counter-clockwise to the spinning Eye of Providence pyramids.
•Dramatic Fanfare: Spoiler:By parrying off of the pink star projectiles, the player can land onto two hanging cherub props that control the chandelier in the background of the first phase. Standing on one will gradually lower it until a dinging sound is heard and the chandelier becomes slanted. Doing the same to the other cherub will cause the first phase to abruptly end and trigger an alternate storyline to the fight that was originally unfinished by the time the game was released. After both cherubs are lowered, Sally Stageplay's newlywed husband is crushed by the chandelier. Instead of changing the scenery to Sally's home, the second phase of the fight takes place at St. Timothy's Nunnery, implying that Sally became a nun. In place of Sally's husband worrying in the bushes for her is the Priest that oversaw their marriage, and a Nun takes the place of Sally's children to throw rulers at the player. In the third phase, a god form of Sally's husband accompanies Sally's goddess form and attacks by summoning a cherub, portrayed by Sally's son from the normal second phase of the fight, to push a spinning cardboard fireball towards the player. The fourth phase of the fight is unchanged from the normal path, but with the Nun appearing in the background in place of Sally's husband and children when on Expert mode.

One boss fight in "The Delicious Last Course" DLC also features a secret phase:

•Doggone Dogfight: Spoiler:During the second phase with the circling jetpack puppies, their jetpacks will produce white exhaust fumes when they have plenty of health, with the more damage taken turning it into gray exhaust to indicate that they have low health. If all four jetpacks are spewing gray exhaust at the same time with none of them having been defeated, the Dog Chinook will appear and eat them before grabbing the plane as if it were the normal third phase. However, the puppies and the Chinook pilot will appear in portholes on its paw pads instead of the laser satellites, where they throw regular and pink Pineapple Mint grenades that explode into shrapnel when they are hit. The Chinook pilot also appears and calls for the vessel to shoot homing fire hydrant missiles.
Super Smash Bros. Melee

Captain Falcon has minor gameplay changes based on which alternate skin is being used. Presumably a programming oversight, the character's Environmental Collision Box (ECB), a small diamond that prevents the character from falling through stage environments and walking through walls, differs slightly between skins, meaning they have very slightly different widths for dealing with stage collisions/interaction (although hurtboxes remain the same on all skins). Ranked from thinnest to widest, Captain Falcon's default skin has the thinnest ECB, while the Pink, Blue, Red, and Black skins have wider ECBs, with the Green skin coming out on top with the widest.
Uncharted Waters: New Horizons
1
During Otto Baynes' campaign when meeting Ezequiel in the café, if you choose not to fight him, he will be ridiculed as a coward upon his return to England to inform the King they chose not to fight, and will be renamed to "Loser Baynes". Upon returning to Spain and accepting Ezequiel's duel, defeating him will cause him to express confusion as to why Otto backed out of fighting him the first time before proclaiming that he will never be called a loser again, changing Otto's name once more to "Winner Baynes".
Uncharted Waters: New Horizons
1
During Catalina's campaign before the final boss fight, there are two different scenarios that occur if you decide to attack either João or one of the ships in Ezequiel's fleet first (implying that she thinks they are still her enemy) that make the game unwinnable.

Upon attacking and defeating Ezequiel's fleet first, the ships following you will stop and instead travel around the overworld in random directions until they eventually disappear from the map. Despite this, João's ship will still follow behind her, and defeating him will cause his ship to disappear entirely.

If you attack and defeat João first, his ship will disappear and cause the rest of Ezequiel's fleet to scatter. In a fourth wall break, Catalina will point out upon attacking João that she chose to do this just to see what would happen, before he encourages her to reset the game so they can see the ending.
Uncharted Waters: New Horizons
1
Towards the end of João Franco's campaign, breaking the flow of the game's story by choosing to attack Catalina's fleet will prompt his crew and opponent to mock him for being spiteful against her, causing him to be renamed to "Spiteful Franco" and significantly reduce his stats, making the game unwinnable. Upon her defeat, Catalina will then appear on the overworld as a hirable vagabond sailor.

A similar situation occurs when attacking Ezequiel's fleet, causing João to be lambasted for making such a poor decision, renaming him to "Nitwit Franco", and dropping his stats to the same unwinnable level.
