1
Attachment The hood ornament on the Corley Motors hovercar seen at the beginning of the game is modeled after Tim Schafer, the game's writer, designer, and project leader.
Splatoon
1
According to Shigeru Miyamoto, Splatoon was almost made into a Mario game. Making it into a part of the Mario franchise would have assured sales, but it was eventually decided to keep the game as an independent and new IP.
BioShock
2
Attachment Before the Little Sisters became the "gatherers" in the game, early designs included a sea slug, a frog with a funnel in its anus, and a dog in a wheelchair.
Doctor Who: The Adventure Games
1
Attachment One of the ideas suggested by the show's executive producer, Steven Moffat, for a Dalek story was about being miniaturized and put inside a Dalek. However, Moffat decided instead to keep the idea for a future television episode. The idea was used for the 2014 episode "Into the Dalek".
Suikoden III
1
Attachment Kidd's character design is loosely based on that of Conan Edogawa from the manga and anime series "Detective Conan" ("Case Closed", in Japan).
Suikoden
1
The hero was originally designed to wield a sword, but this was changed into a staff to give the game a more Chinese flair to it.
Franchise: Ace Attorney
1
Phoenix Wright's Japanese surname, "Naruhodou" is a reference toward the Japanese expression "naruhodo", which roughly means "I see", "I understand" or "indeed".
Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter
1
Attachment There are a number of unused sprites in the game's files that seem to show other character heads on Mike's body. This would suggest that Mike's body was used as a placeholder sprite for other characters, or perhaps even as a base when redrawing new characters. These unused sprites only have worried and cheering animations.
WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It
1
Attachment In the game's beta there were 3D models of Michael Cole and Tazz sitting at an announcer table, occasionally appearing in a "picture in picture" view where they would discuss the match. Although this piece was taken out of the final game, the back of the box does display a picture of the pair at the ring side commentating.
BioShock Infinite
1
Attachment In an early build of the game, the Barbershop Quartet in New Eden Square were called The "BEE" Sharps. In the final version, the band's name was replaced with "Albert Fink Presents." It's likely that the original name was a reference to The Simpsons, in which Homer was in a band called The Be Sharps.
Manhunt 2
1
Women were featured much more prominently in the beta for the game, including Spoiler:having female patients in Dixmor Asylum, the female inmate being tortured in the dentist chair in the level Sexual Deviants, and an additional object in the Sorority House level, in which the player had to kill a female student.
Super Mario Land
1
The 1-Up Mushrooms are replaced with hearts most likely because, with the Game Boy's lack of color, it would be almost impossible to distinguish a 1-Up Mushroom from a regular Mushroom. This change is also present in the game's sequel.
Team Fortress 2
1
Attachment There are unused particle effects with names that relate to the "Conga" taunt. This suggests that the taunt was originally intended to constantly spawn confetti, streamers and fireworks, which are either green or pink.
Grand Theft Auto IV
1
According to an interview with Dan Houser by the Official Playstation Magazine UK, Staten Island was not included in the game because the development team decided that it wouldn't be a fun location to play in.
Wolfenstein: The New Order
1
Due to laws set in place after World War II which made it illegal for any media, outside of education, referencing the Nazi Party to be sold in Germany, the game had to be censored and changed greatly in order to receive classification. This included changing the Nazis to the Regime and the remodeling of assets that included Nazi paraphernalia to reflect the Regime's symbols. Because of this, it became the first Wolfenstein game to ever be released in Germany.
Full Throttle
1
Tim Schafer originally wanted to include a section in the game where Ben would take peyote, and have the player play through a dream sequence in Ben's mind. While this idea was dropped from the game, it formed the inspiration for Tim Schafer later game, Psychonauts.
Collection: Slender
1
The Slender Man character originates from a Creepypasta story of the same name.
WWE All Stars
1
Attachment A spiritual successor to the game called "WWE Brawl" was in development by THQ, and was announced April 3, 2011 (the day before Wrestlemania 27). From the trailer, the game appeared to be a fighting game similar to the Power Stone series of games.

The first trailer was released early July on THQ's official Youtube channel, but was later removed along with all mentions of the game from their site. The game was eventually cancelled, possibly due to THQ's financial problems throughout 2011, or due to poor sales of WWE All Stars.
Batman: Arkham Origins
1
Attachment At the Arkham Origins panel at Comic Con 2013, it announced that there would be a special reward for players who cleared 100% of the game - a new skin dubbed the "Worst Nightmare" Batsuit. It was to be a physical representation of how Batman's enemies viewed him as a mythical monster at the time. The costume was cut during development, however it does appear in game during cutscenes as how Joker sees Batman.
Conker's Pocket Tales
1
The game cartridge contains two separately programmed games; one for the Game Boy Color and one for the original Game Boy. The story remains the same, however some of the gameplay mechanics are different, as are some of the game locations themselves.
