Kirby Super Star

The very first room of Peanut Plains in Kirby Super Star is an indirect reference to Super Mario Bros. 2. Kirby starts in midair and falls down as he gets below several blocky hills that are in a similar arrangement to the ones in the very first room of Super Mario Bros. 2. To add to that, the door is at the right and the lone Sir Kibble found in the area is very close, if not directly on, the spot where one of the first Shy Guys in Super Mario Bros. 2 is found. In Kirby Super Star, the grass is pinkish, but in Kirby Super Star Ultra, the grass is green, further increasing the similarity.

Attachment During the release day of the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, guards in the cities of Orgrimmar and Stormwind had swords resembling lightsabers equipped in celebration. Stormwind guards had blue sabers whilst Orgrimmar guards had orange ones.

Attachment In the Christmas mission "Oh Come, All Ye Vengeful Pt. 2", Comic Boy Guy, in thinking of a plan to get back at Cletus, who he believes had vandalized his Fortress of Lonelitude, says, "Cletus has brought upon himself a Battle of Dantoonie! And I, for this battle only, am the Yuuzhan Vong!" This is a reference to the Star Wars novel The New Jedi Order: Dark Tide I: Onslaught, where the invading Yuuzhan Vong race attack the New Republic forces and refugees on the planet Dantooine, which result in a massive death toll.

Attachment The Killer Penguin in the Extinct Animals expansion is a reference to a glitch in the first Zoo Tycoon where Emperor Penguins would kill any herbivorous animal that had been placed in their exhibit. They may also be a reference to the Penguins from the DreamWorks movie Madagascar, as their Zoopedia entry states them to be from Madagascar.
