In the Japanese version, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light is available as a playable Masterpiece demo. Because the game was never released outside of Japan, it is likewise absent from the international release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, the only Masterpiece to hold this distinction. Despite this, its banner, screenshot, and fighter render are still present in the international release's files (the ROM, however, is absent).
