During the development of Star Fox Adventures, Nintendo considered re-releasing Star Fox 64 for GameCube, likely as a pre-order bonus similar to how The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was re-released with the first ever release of "Ura Zelda" or Master Quest as a pre-order bonus for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Did you know Star Fox 64 almost ended up on the XBox instead of the GameCube? That's right, Nintendo considered bringing Fox McCloud's fight to a whole new console, but ultimately decided against it. It would have been pretty wild to see him blastin' Andross on a different system, wouldn't it? Just goes to show you, even in the high-stakes world of game development, things can take unexpected turns!
