In Fossil Fighters and Fossil Fighers: Champions, the Vivosaur Spinax has its genus listed as "Altispinax". At the time of the games' release, the vertebrae used to identify it were given another name by paleontologists: "Becklespinax". Becklespinax later became recognized as a junior synonym for Altispinax in 2016, retroactively making the genus originally used in both games correct.
