The characters Mrs Crabtree, Chickenlover and a clown were originally intended to be playable characters and not just level obstacles. They can become playable by hex-editing the game's files, and have their own character menu portraits and sound files. There is one unfinished character in the game's files, Fat Abbot (a parody of the Bill Cosby character Fat Albert), who was cut from the game early into development possibly to avoid copyright issues.

Despite only being not playable in the Nintendo 64 version, the characters Ms Cartman, Mrs Broflovski, and Scuzzlebutt, and extra skins for characters, can be found in the game's files.

Mephesto's vehicle is the DeLorean time machine from "Back to the Future".
