Pokémon Gold Version

There's an unused script that triggers a battle with a level 40 Entei upon contact. It might be that early in development, the Legendary dogs would have been battled normally like the legendary birds in Gen 1 instead of searching for them in the grass.
Portal 2
1
Attachment There is an unused Turret hidden in the game files called the Hover Turret. It has no programming other than to follow the player with its laser sight. It also has no model, so it shows up as a default ERROR model.
Mario Party 7
1
Attachment Using Action Replay codes, it is possible to play as the Red and Green Koopa Kids. Their character models and behaviors are mostly broken as they are missing several animations, all voice clips (as they use Mario and Luigi's) and party board HUB sprites. There is a value for the Blue Koopa Kid as well, however using the code will make the game crash.
Pokémon Ruby Version
subdirectory_arrow_right Pokémon Sapphire Version (Game)
1
Wild Double Battles were planned for Ruby and Sapphire as evidenced by an unused text string found in the game. The string reads, "Wild v[&H05] and v[&H03] appeared!", with v[&H05] and v[&H03] being placeholders for the names of the Pokemon.
Plants vs. Zombies
1
By hacking the game, it is possible to access ten unused mini-games along with four variations on survival endless. All mini-games are fully functional, with the exception of Ice Level.
Metroid
1
There are three inaccessible rooms in the game's code. All of these rooms are in Norfair, and are copies of other rooms in the game.
Kirby's Block Ball
1
Attachment There are two unused, but fully coded enemies present in the game data. The first one is Pengi, whose graphics are loaded on Stage 7-2 but never used. The other is Waddle Doo, who is not loaded on any of the stages and has a death animation in which his eye pops out, which might be why he was never used.
Left 4 Dead
1
The PC version of the game contains unused code that allows for split screen multiplayer. The code is functional, and it's possible to modify files to re-enable it.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix
1
Attachment Using a text glitch recently found by the Kingdom Hearts speed running community, and walking into the Red or Green room of the Hotel in Traverse Town, random messages from the game's code appears. Some text include random text, dialogue quotes spoken in Traverse Town, or unused text entries. One example is "To 2F | To B1 | Cancel", which may be a clue that somewhere in Traverse Town, most likely the Hotel, it was intended for there to be an elevator.
Final Fantasy VI

Umaro was originally supposed to be a random encounter on the world map and could only be caught with bait. Hidden game data suggests Umaro was at some point intended to be able to be encountered in the World of Balance, as an unused battle complete with stats and a simple AI script exists within the game's data.

According to Hironobu Sakaguchi, Umaro has a strong sense of honor and feels like he owes a debt to Mog, because Mog shared some food with him when he had collapsed from exhaustion.
Chainz 2: Relinked
1
Attachment Graphical elements of a level editor remain in the game's data, and were possibly used during the game's development. Leftover code can also be found, suggesting it may be possible to reactivate this feature.
Super Mario World
1
Attachment An unused 5-up logo can be found in the game's data. When used in game, the logo doesn't show up correctly. You can get a 5-up by bouncing on Wigglers, or by using a Game Genie code. It's fully coded, but the actual way the graphics are displayed is incorrect, as their properties are pulled from the code after the table with the score palettes. The 8x8 tiles used are incorrectly flipped horizontally and vertically.
Super Paper Mario
1
Attachment In the game's coding, there are a total of 9 unused enemies, some of which were present in the first Paper Mario game.
Action 52
1
Attachment Setting the value of the RAM address $338 to 02 (or using the Game Genie code ZAOEAPAA) at the Rocket Jockey game menu will bring the player to Level 3. This is a semi-playable level with a wrongly colored background, and sprites that glitch out when certain enemies appear. There are also mountains in the background that don't appear elsewhere in the game, as well as projectiles that spawn periodically.
Umihara Kawase
1
There are four fully-coded but ultimately unused enemies hidden in the game data; a Catfish, a Blue plant, a Vertical plant and a Puffer Fish.
Pikmin 2
1
There is early English script for "Louie's Notes" that usually can't be viewed outside of hacking/cheating. All of Louie's Notes were changed during development. There are also 6 missing entries, suggesting they didn't exist early in development. They are:
Spoiler: "Hairy Bulborb"
"Decorated Cannon Beetle"
"Volatile Dweevil"
"Toady Bloyster"
"Segmented Crawbster"

and finally, the Spoiler: "Waterwraith".
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity
1
Attachment Through hacking, Victini can be made playable in the main storyline. Though it lacks a sleeping animation (Victini will seem to jump between laying down and standing up for the duration of its "sleep"), it has a full move set and range of animations. It was possibly cut from the game's playable roster due to the power of the move Searing Shot, and later re-added as the Victini seen at the V-Wheel in later stages of development.
Super Mario 64
1
Attachment An unused trampoline can be found in the game's files. It has no model in-game, and behaviour for it was never created.
Mortal Kombat 4
1
Attachment It was originally intended for Kitana to appear as a fighter. Her color palette was swapped to yellow and thus created Tanya. While Kitana's model and textures were removed from the Playstation release, leaving only her moveset in the code, she is still fully functional in the N64 and PC releases, and can be accessed with a GameShark code or patch.
Mario Kart DS
1
Mario Kart DS seems to pad certain parts of memory with repeated instances of ASCII art of Mario from Super Mario Bros.
