Pokémon Ruby Version
subdirectory_arrow_right Pokémon Sapphire Version (Game)
1
Attachment Gastrodon and Shellos were supposed to appear in Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire. Due to time constraints they weren't added. Ken Sugimori only did one version of the Pokemon (there are two varieties in Diamond and Pearl).
Pokémon Red Version
1
Attachment The original Red and Green Versions were supposed to have a female trainer along with the male trainers, Red and Blue. She was most likely removed due to hardware restrictions, but is still seen on the official strategy guide and artwork. The character was used as the character 'Green' in the comic and 'Leaf' in the remake, FireRed and LeafGreen.
Bully
1
There is a largely unused student found in the game's data named Bob. The reason that he was removed from most of the final game is uncertain, but he can still be seen in a late cut scene Spoiler: where the gym catches fire.
Mega Man X2
1
Due to the limitations the developers were experimenting with, both Violen's second form (to match the new forms of Serges and Agile) and a fourth female X-hunter had to be removed. At the time they would have been called the "Four Guardians".
Trials of Mana
1
Attachment There seems to be a planned boss in the place where the party meets Jagan for the first time in Bucca Island that was removed prior to release that can only be accessed by using Action Replay on sample cartridges of the game. The boss's body is submerged under the water and attacks with two tentacles.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations
1
Attachment In Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, if you enter Free Battle mode, select "Versus Battle", select the "1P vs. 2P" option, complete one match with supports, go back to the Free Battle mode selection screen, select Training mode, press B (or circle for PS3) on a support-only slot, you will be able to play as them. They have no Awakenings, B (or circle) combos, or voices and can only use their normal jutsu, powered chakra shurikens, normal dash, guarding, and normal walking. Attempting to do a side ninja dash (Left or Right on the Analog Stick and double A or X) will lock up your player unless you press your D-pad either left or right. Even though they are in an unplayable state, it suggests that all of the support-only characters were going to be fully playable since under normal circumstances support-only characters don't use their walking animations.
The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon
1
In the mobile version of the game, Sparx is absent from the game entirely. This makes the mobile version, as of right now, the only Spyro game never to feature Sparx.
Digimon World
1
WereGarurumon was originally planned for the game and even had his own Digivolution item. All that remains through hacking is his name and Arena sprite.
Digimon World
1
Gigadramon and MetalEtemon both have digivolving items, though neither the items nor the Digimon can be obtained without the use of a cheat code. Panjyamon can also be obtained with a cheat code, though no digivolving item exists for him.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
1
Attachment In the games files there is an unused Pit or Arena Called "Windhelm Pit Entrance". Entering the Pit spawns 2 Argonians (Both Male), Nords, Dark Elves and Imperials NPCs, They are all called 'Pit Fans', who are supposed to be spectators. It is believed that Windhelm was going to have an arena at some point of development where you would face against animals or NPC Bandits. There are also Pit guards who are fully voiced, but they cannot be viewed during normal gameplay. The place can be viewed by entering the console commands "coc WindhelmPitEntrance" and "coc WindhelmPitExterior".
Banjo-Pilot
subdirectory_arrow_right Diddy Kong Pilot (Game)
1
Attachment In an early build shown at Spaceworld, when it was still being developed as Diddy Kong Pilot, a number of Mario characters were shown to be playable at one point in the game. The characters were Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Bowser and Toad.
Crash Twinsanity
1
Attachment N. Trance was originally going to make an appearance in Crash Twinsanity in a cutscene in which Evil Crash eats his brain with a spoon "like an egg". The scene was scrapped because it was "a bit gross". The only trace of N.Trance left in Twinsanity is his concept art.
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
1
Attachment An unused monkey enemy can be found in the game's graphics. They look to be similar to Donkey Kong in the style of Yoshi's Island, including a barrel that would have presumably been thrown.
Banjo-Pilot
subdirectory_arrow_right Diddy Kong Pilot (Game)
1
Attachment A new character named Redneck Kong was to be a racer in the original Diddy Kong Pilot, however he was later intended to be replaced with Candy Kong.
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
1
Attachment There is a scrapped Kremling character which has been dubbed by fans as "Mr. X". He appeared in Issue 76 of Nintendo Power but is nowhere in the game. He appears in the German instruction booklet where it reads, "Kennt ihn oder hat ihn irgendwo schon einmal gesehen", which translates into, "No one knows him or has seen him anywhere before."
Dissidia Final Fantasy
1
Many characters that appeared in Dissidia 012 were originally supposed to be in Dissidia. These characters, left out for unknown reasons, were Vaan, Kain, Lighting, Yuna and Prishe.
Diddy Kong Racing
1
Attachment An unused character selection song suggests that Taj was going to be a playable character in the game. The track is played with sitar strings which are associated with that character. Taj would later become a playable character in Diddy Kong Racing DS.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
1
Attachment An Excitebike racer from the game Excitebike, Balloon Fighter from the game Balloon Fight, Urban Champion from Urban Champion and Bubbles from Clu Clu Land were considered for characters that could be used to represent the NES era of Nintendo in the game, but Sakurai decided that the Ice Climbers would be far more fitting as fighters.
Crash Twinsanity
1
Attachment There were suppose to be four playable characters, Crash, Coco, N.Cortex, and Nina. However Coco was removed as a playable character and made an NPC. Her game play was rumored to consist of her hacking into security systems. Although she is not playable in the game anymore, the back of the box still says there are "4 playable characters."
