On several explorable locations in the game, namely Altahe, Nepmos, Nodacrux, Rayingri, Eletania, Xawin and even Luna (Earth's moon,) strange sounds can be heard when the player exits the Mako and stands in a specific point of the map.

Although never confirmed by BioWare, the Mass Effect community has speculated that these peculiar noises are 'songs' from the insectoid and believed extinct race the Rachni.

Attachment In the Dam level, there is a blue metal trapdoor on the floor in a guardhouse that serves no purpose in the final game. Many believe it was part of an older objective that was taken out of the game. Some speculate that Bond previously had to retrieve his tracker bug for the mission in this hatch, since the message "Picked up a bug" can be found in the game's memory but is never used in the game. Others speculate Bond previously picked up explosives here for a lost objective requiring players to blow up the truck. Still others believe it was merely a quicker way to the comms room below the dam, since it is almost directly above it. It's true purpose remains a mystery.

Attachment Each guardian Bakugan that is buyable by the player has something missing. Drago and Delta Dragonoid II are missing their horns, Delta Dragonoid II is also missing the blades on his tail, Tigrerra is missing her blades and the diamond on her forehead, Skyress is missing her horns, Gorem and Hammer Gorem are missing their shield and horns respectively, Preyas and Preyas II Diablo are missing their collar, Preyas II Angelo has differently shaped eyes and missing half of his hair, and Hydranoid is missing his horn. These edits were probably made so these Bakugan would not look like the owners' guardian Bakugan from the Anime.

Attachment Near the end of the game, Spoiler:Roxas has to fight Xion, who wants to absorb him. During the 3rd phase of the battle, Xion transforms into a form that looks a lot like Kurt Zisa. This makes sense since Xion is using Sora's memories as a weapon and they are fighting in Agrabah, where Sora previously fought Kurt Zisa in the first Kingdom Hearts.

Attachment When you encounter your rival in Pokemon Tower, he will ask you why you're in the tower to begin with because you don't have any dead Pokemon to mourn over. This implies that he has lost a Pokemon and has come to pay homage to it or lay it to rest. Furthermore, his Raticate from the previous battle on the S.S. Anne is replaced by an Exeggcute, Growlithe, or Gyrados, depending on the starter Pokemon you chose. This seems to imply that his Raticate somehow died between the battles against him on the S.S. Anne and in Pokemon Tower; common fan speculation states that the Raticate died from wounds received from the battle on the S.S. Anne.

Attachment Before destroying the support pillars and causing the fourth floor to collapse onto the third, the four rooms in the center of Eagle's Tower's third floor are entirely different, consisting primarily of an extremely large pit. Of these rooms, the upper two are inaccessible and never normally seen in-game. It appears the one on the left was meant to be used, but due to the way the crystal switches work, the blocks controlled by them will always deny you entry. And even if it was accessible, the pit is too open and can easily lead to getting trapped on the second floor. Interestingly, while the room is inaccessible, it was still updated after the first version.

To the right of that room is one that was definitely never intended to be used at all, consisting only of a "down" staircase leading up to the fourth floor, presumably for testing purposes. It's also the only way to get up there. (Leaving the 4F area in any direction will take you to blank "default" rooms.)

These rooms are also present in the DX version.

Dante used the name Tony Redgrave as an alias in his early days of demon slaying. When asked about the name, director Hideki Kamiya stated that "Antonio Redgrave was a journalist that Dante respected, so he used it as his fake name during his days as a mercenary..." In Bayonetta, Luka's father, Antonio Redgrave, was a world famous journalist that documented supernatural events, people, and places. It's very likely that the two Tonys may be the same person.

Attachment An NPC on the isle where you find the Sea Hare's Tail claims, "This here island's really a turtle shell!" If you ride flammie above the isle, there is a visible shadow of a head and fins. This turtle may actually be Booskaboo from Seiken Densetsu 3 whom the party travels on before the acquisition of Flammie. Figuring that Seiken Densetsu 3 is a prequel to Secret of Mana, this may hold true.

The Pisaca in the dungeon in the Duke's Archives are actually humans captured by the Channelers for Seath's experiments, explaining why these creatures drop a fairly consistent supply of Humanity. Two in particular each drop a different Miracle. When considering the fact that Rhea of Thorolund's Hollow can be found in the dungeon after all her Miracles are purchased, and the fact a corpse in the dungeon is wearing the Maiden Set that Rhea wears, it can be speculated that the two docile Pisacas are former Maidens, and that Rhea was going to receive the same fate.

Throughout the game, mention is made of several heroes of Boletaria who were devoured by the fog along with King Allant. When Allant returned he, as well as all his men, were said to actually be demons taking their forms. In World 1-4, the Black Phantoms of the original heroes block the path.

Alfred, the Knight of the Tower, became the Tower Knight in 1-2. Curiously, this phantom also wears the armor of the Twin Fangs, Vallarfax and Biorr, the corpse of the latter supposedly in Mildred's excecution grounds in 1-1.

Metas, the Knight of the Lance, became the Penetrator in 1-3. Curiously, both the demon and Black Phantom use an incredibly long sword, not a lance.

Long Bow Oolan is left out, though it is said Oolan led a legion of archers, a characteristic similar to the legion-like qualities of the boss Phallanx in 1-1. This is debatable, though, seeing as Phallanx's legion actually uses spears and shields, and its soul forms the Scraping Spear that Alfred's Black Phantom uses.

Unlike the majority of characters throughout Dark Souls, Sieglinde of Catarina, the daughter of Siegmeyer, is speculated to be a human. All the human characters met in Dark Souls are either Undead, who are reborn at Bonfires at the cost of their humanity until they are completely Hollow, or are non-human in some other regard. This makes her quest to find her father all the more treacherous, given the fact that the moment she dies, she is dead for good.

The in-game descriptions of the Mask of the Sealer and the Remedy sorcery speak of two other Sealers aside from Ingward who abandoned their duty to watch over the Seal of New Londo. One Sealer, Yulva, is said in the Remedy description to have gone to Blighttown to cure the sick. It can be speculated the corpse where the Crimson Set, Tin Banishment Catalyst and Remedy spell, all of which would be associated with a Sealer, is her.

The second is unnamed, but there is only one other male NPC in the game who wears the complete Sealer set, sans the mask. It is worth noting that the Mask of the Sealer was a "symbol of their resolve", which he would lack had he abandoned his duty. In Anor Londo when confronting Lautrec with the Black Eye Orb, he can be seen assisting Lautrec as a White Phantom. Seeing as Phantoms exist outside of the player's true timeline, it is unclear whether or not the man remains alive in the game's present.

Attachment The enemy Batton was an enemy that appeared in several classic Mega Man games, starting with Mega Man 2. In Armored Armadillo's stage, a single Batton can be found among the Batton Bones, the X series replacement for the Battons. Chronologically speaking (and excusing the enemies abilities to respawn when off-screen), this could be the last accounted Batton in the Mega Man universe.
