Prior to releasing Fallout 2, Black Isle Studios ran a trivia contest both online and through an Australian gaming magazine called PC Powerplay. Lucas Kawarski of Jaktorow, Poland and Cameron Rapmund of Fairfield West, Australia were the two winners of the contest on September 24, 1998 and had two NPCs named after them in the game.

Lucas is found in Arroyo near a giant head statue and Cameron is found at the end of the Temple of Trials.
Mortal Kombat X

In one of Takeda's intros when facing off against Ermac, he will refer to him as "Error Macro." This is a reference to the rumour in Mortal Kombat 1 that Ermac was a secret character that could be unlocked due to a listing in the arcade machine's debug menu which read "Ermacs", referring to Error Macros.
Killer Instinct

When both characters stand still/idle for a period of time (around 30 seconds), the stage music will change and play a remixed version of the character/stage theme from either Killer Instinct or Killer Instinct Gold. This is only noticeable when using a returning character, such as Jago or Orchid. For newcomers, like Sadira, Kan-Ra and Aganos, the music will instead change to a remixed version of the main Killer Instinct theme, but flavored according to the stage theme. For instance, Kan-Ra's variation will have an Egyptian flavor, while Aganos's variation will have a Greek flavor.
