One of the series' most well known weapons, the Holy Hand Grenade, is inspired by the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch from the movie Monthy Python and the Holy Grail. Both are almost identical in appearance.

According to Wormsong 2003 (the theme to Worms 3D), it's possible that Boggy B and Spadge were brothers.

The only Wormsong in the series to not originate from a game is Wormsong 2011. It was Team17's gift to their fans posted on their official YouTube channel. The song was later added to the PC version of Worms 2: Armageddon, known as Worms Reloaded.

Wormsongs, essentially the theme songs of the games, have a chronological order different from their order of release. Wormsong '95 is logically first, since it is the start of Boggy B's warpath. Chronologically the last song is Wormsong '99 in which Boggy B (supposedly) dies. Though the order of Wormsongs 2003 and 2011 is debatable, they both take place in between Wormsongs '95 and '99.

Attachment Boggy B's friend Spadge's name is most likely a reference to Martyn "Spadge" Brown, a co-founder of Team17. Martyn Brown also makes a kind of a cameo as the MB Bomb weapon originating from Worms 2.
