Attachment While Curse of Monkey Island was being developed, an animated feature film based off of the game series was in consideration. It was believed that Curse of Monkey island was the said movie. However. According to Sam and Max creator Steve Purcell, who was one of the artists providing concept art for the said film, the film would have had an original story as well as introduce new characters. The film never happened, but it's believed that the first Pirates of the Caribbean film from Disney is based off of the purposed script for the Monkey Island film.
Epic Mickey

Attachment Originally Mickey's design would change based on how you played the game. Hero being good, Wastelander being anti-hero, and Scrapper being bad. Due to negative feedback of Scrapper Mickey's personality, the three designs were scrapped.

The character Zack Fair was created late into development. He was made up along the way as Kazushige Nojima was building up the mysteries surrounding Cloud (most importantly, who he was and who he based his fake cocky personality on). Before Zack was created, Aerith was to see her first love in Cloud, though who that person would be was not yet decided until later, but there were plans to make this person Sephiroth. Eventually, Zack was placed to serve as both Aerith's first love and to solve the mysteries surrounding Cloud. When he was finally developed, Nojima asked the staff in charge of the event scenes to add foreshadowing to Cloud's true persona and to Zack himself. Zack was also the last character to be drawn by Tetsuya Nomura.

According to Anthony Burch, the lead writer, Tiny Tina was going to have another quest before it was cut. "After a certain character Spoiler: Roland dies, you get a quest to go tell all of Spoiler:his friends that the person is dead." This would include Tina and, for the first and only time, it would cause her to drop her carefree and insane attitude. She would thank you, give you a new weapon, and then lock herself in her workshop, which she could be heard crying in. Burch did not give a reason for the quest's removal but it is believed that since she lives out in the Tundra rather than at Sanctuary, meaning that players would have to trudge through an area filled with low-level enemies simply for a bit of dialog and a possibly useless weapon, the developers saw it to be not worth it.

Attachment The Butler is a cut character. The purpose of the character is unknown, however it's logical that he was intended to be Salvatore Leone's butler. The only remains are the butler's fully textured model in both gta3.img and txd.img.

The German version was heavily censored to meet a USK 16 rating. The edits made were the removal of blood, headshots and amputations taken out (although NPCs would still appear limping if shot), unable to hit anyone whilst they're on the ground (attempting to would have you flail around over them), no money dropped from killed NPCs and all rampage missions removed.
