There is a custom outfit for Aya that makes her look like Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII. When her outfit is damaged, you can see the l'Cie brand on her chest. The inclusion of the outfit in the game is likely due to the fact that both characters were voiced by the same actress in Japan, Maaya Sakamoto, who also switches to using Lightning's voice when the outfit is on.

Hajime Tabata worked on The 3rd Birthday and Final Fantasy Type-0 at the same time, both games having originally been intended for mobile devices, but were later changed to PlayStation Portable games. Square Enix requested Tabata to focus on The 3rd Birthday, which almost led to Final Fantasy Type-0 being cancelled.
