The english release of the game is notorious for a variety of mistranslations and errors, ranging from names of characters being changed, to lines being switched with other characters.

An example of this can be found in the chapter, "Breakdown! Marines vs Pirates!" where one of Marshall D. Teach's lines is given to Ace, resulting in Ace shouting, "I am the old man's enemy...! I am Teach! And I will destroy you!".

There are DLC costumes from Dynasty Warriors 7 and Samurai Warriors 3 for Nami, Nico Robin, Boa Hancock and Perona:
• Nami as Sun Shangxiang from Dynasty Warriors & Kunoichi from Samurai Warriors.
• Nico Robin as Xingcai from Dynasty Warriors & Kai from Samurai Warriors.
• Boa Hancock as Diaochan from Dynasty Warriors & Naotora Ii from Samurai Warriors.
• Perona as Wang Yuanji from Dynasty Warriors & Okuni from Samurai Warriors.

This is most likely because ##Omega Force## developed both the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series.
