Motonari makes an appearance in Samurai Warriors 2: Empires during a pre-battle event where he gives words of encouragement to his sons Motoharu, Takamoto and Takakage. The latter also becomes a playable character in the forth installment.

Ujiyasu Hojo made appearances in Samurai Warriors 2: Empires during passive events sequence. In the events, he talks with his two sons Ujimasa and Ujiteru.

Despite being given unique appearances, Aya and Fukushima Masanori are not playable characters. Their character models can be used for custom characters, but with no stories or unique dialogue.

Takamaru, from Nintendo's Famicom title Nazo no Murasame-jo (Localized as "The Mysterious Murasame Castle"), was included as a special playable character. The game even includes a Murasame Castle mode, which acts as a retelling of Nazo no Murasame-jo's events.
