In 1994, after the success of the first game, Travellers Tales was beginning development of a sequel to the game titled "Mickey Mania 2".
The game was quietly scrapped, as the team decided to focus more on developing a video game based off of the then upcoming Pixar movie Toy Story.
Only one prototype of the game exists, and it only has one level.

In Level 6 - The Prince and the Pauper, there's a skeleton wearing a Mickey Mouse hat near the end of the stage.

The Japanese version of the game is region-locked to Japanese systems, showing only a message saying "Developed for use only with NTSC Mega Drive Systems" on consoles from other regions.
But if you use a mod or emulator and change the region of the console, the message will change to "Oh...This machine has some how become an NTSC Mega Drive System" and the game will then proceed to play normally.
